His dancing in relation to his documentary is not choreographed. It's all freestyle. That's what he started out doing. Music is the beginning, then you feel the music and move your body to it. What they do have is learning different styles of music like Popping, locking, tutting, House, hip hop dance etc. Then you take that and just use what you have learned to move your body and then expand on it.
The HOTS project... This whole songs in the album is created by j-hope.

Hobi never misses! This song is so good, the whole album is perfect. I kept thinking one song was better than the other, it’s just impossible to choose a favorite one. The one with JK is amazing as well, the solo version of On The Street… amazing, amazing, no skips
The song “Neuron” is also a homage to the dance group j-hope started his dancing with. The whole album is so awesome.
Thanks for reacting! Hobi has actually said in a couple of interviews that whenever he writes a song, he already thinks of how he would PERFORM them. This might explain how he is able to perform live exactly like the recorded version, or turn it up a few notches higher to hype an audience. He knows when to ebb and flow for a live stage. Also, this is an OST for his docuseries, so the songs were written specifically to dance to!

Honestly, this album is dance! From beginning to end, you want to move with it. Another reactor I watch said this collection from Hobi really encapsulates the essence of who he is, and that is a dancer.

I was taking dancing in the ‘60s and ‘70s so it was before street dance and hip hop came to my area. However, I still love and respect this art form so much! And combined with the Prime Documentary, it is truly an impressive project.
I keep racking my brain to figure out how we can get this info out regarding this to the street dance community.

Thank you for this reaction, John! Watched the first episode of HOTS and looking forward to the next episode tonight - Hobi has such control of every part of his body. I have always been in awe of his talent and have stated repeatedly that I can watch him dance all day. Love this song and the dancers that participated in this mv - I'm sure they'll pop up in one or more episodes of the doco. Such a danceable beat - you are probably right that they wrote the song to the dance. BTS and BigHit have managed the release of content throughout the period of the boys' military service masterfully. Truly the gift that keeps on giving and we are so blessed!

You know what, I had just seen on twitter somebody uploaded a tiktok video that explains how the rapline do their act differently. RM uses his brain in his art, SUGA uses his heart in his art. And Jhope uses his body in his art. Watching your reaction and your comment about how the song was written with the chore in mind, I couldn't help be reminded of that post. And I think both of you might be right. Jhope has so many texture in his discography, and as a dancer, I think it's inevitable that he'd write songs with the movements in mind.

This album is amazing and my favorite is "I Wonder" with JK, but it's closely tied with the solo version of "On the Street"!! The docuseries goes by so freaking fast, it's like no no no, it just came on and now the episode is over!! Enjoy and have a blessed Easter today!
