"When synths go to the Hogmanay party" Your freeform experiments have been a great example of your talent and imagination Markus! Too many of us adhere to expectations and don't push the envelope.
Dear Colin, thank you for your comment. Lately I've been experimenting with melodic progressions by mixing different CV signal curves to generate the pitches and other control signals for cutoff, wet, volume, panning ... . It still sounds a little rough, like eating a head of cauliflower without having cooked it before. Yours, Markus
@@MarkusGrandpre Yeah I remember you saying that on your last video Markus! I'm glad you are enjoying experimenting, I know I have been having a lot of fun experimenting lately.
Funny enough this music makes me think of what would your synths do when you’re sleeping. Yeah guys, the human is finally away, let’s have some fun shall we? 🤖
Dear Fred, thank you for your comment. Actually I wasn't sleeping at all, I was preparing dinner while the synths did what I told them to do. Yours, Markus
Dear Markus, wow! Just heard your new track and I'm seriously impressed. The sound quality is superb, and the synth work is just mind-blowing. I especially love how you've incorporated the percussion - it adds so much energy. It has this cool retro feel, like a modern take on those classic 70s experimental tracks, like Terry Riley's work. Huge congrats! Marcus P
Thank you, dear Marcus. I'm currently experimenting a lot with my synthesizer system in the hope of finding a very special sound, and in this piece you can already find some interesting melodic progressions for the two main voices. So I don't mind if I fail with a few notes from time to time. That's why I called this series of experiments “Cauliflower”. So you may look forward to two more pieces this week, that are completely different, but which I made up with the same basic idea of melody and CV signal progression and which use the same synth voices. Yours, Markus
Dear Jorge, thank you for your nice comment. Lately I am playing with the issue of melody progression by mixing different CV signal curves. It still sounds a little raw, hence the idea of a raw cauliflower head. Yours, Markus
P.S. _"this happy, rotund gentleman, holding his cauliflower"_ could be me in about 20 years' time. At first I was a little bit shocked when I saw the picture, but then I immediately liked it 🙂
If I don't stop eating and aging so much _"this happy, rotund gentleman, holding his cauliflower"_ will look like me in 5 years 😣 The patching technique is based on a matrix mixer (see [1]) with which i mix four different CV signal flows (like slow sinus or moderate square or fast triangle waves or even random values) in order to change the transpose parameter of a sequencer and other sequencer parameters as well as the sound parameters of the VCO module (see [2]). With the knobs on the matrix mixer I'm able to generate a wide palette of different signal flows in real time that sometimes are hard to control. Dear Empirism, I can tell you from my own experience that if this guy had eaten more cauliflower and fewer potatoes in his life, he wouldn't be so fat now. Yours, Markus

What a fun track! I like all the twists and turns of the melody and timbre. Nice programming! This cauliflower is a real treat, Markus. 😀
What a _strange_ fun track, dear Jeremy 🙂
Please prepare for part #2, the next cauliflower treat!

Mystic and perhaps funny piece Markus! 👍👍👍
More funny than mystic, I guess 🙂
Have a nice evening dear Tomas.

Who is the cauliflower? AI generated picture?
Yes, the picture has been generated by DeepAI.
