- What do Skin Tags really mean? Of course, there is a small genetic component to having skin tags. But, are skin tags really a warning Red Flag that something is wrong with your metabolism on the inside? Yes, they are, and this video will explain to you what skin tags really mean.
Your body does not want you to have Metabolic Syndrome, pre-Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes. And when you start developing these worrisome conditions, your body starts to send out distress signals, and skin tags are one of those. This video explains what skin tags really mean, and I have other videos explaining how to correct your metabolic problem before even worse things start to happen inside your body. Yes. My skin tags disappeared with carnivore. My moles are also disappearing
Yes!! Spread the word!
I don't have many skin tags but my moles have increased and gotten darker.. looked into dermatologist so nothing wrong.. but what's the deal? I'm 90% Carnivore for last 4 yrs but no changes 🤷♀️
😯
@@MatrixxPhoenixx yes they might not all disappear. But are you eating sugar or lactose?? Mine changed color too, got darker, scabbed over.. 😮 I was worried. Then flattened and half turned back into normal skin. But not all of my moles are gone, some are still flattening. All skin tags gone though. Perhaps age is a factor. I’m 31. I was also accidentally starving for 6 months. So perhaps carnivore plus fasting is more effective 🤷♀️

Yup! I am a physician, and 3 months into a strict carnivore diet, I just had about 20 skintags dry up and slough off and that was a big welcomed suprize for me!
*surprise
How did you do it please
I’ve had skin tags for years, I started keto, eat 4 to 6 eggs a day, have salt instead of sugar in my coffee, eat bacon and cook that in butter, ever since I’ve changed my diet, I’ve gotten healthier. Here are the changes:
1. I no longer have plaque build up in my gums.
2. Skin tags around my neck, gone completely.
3. My leg veins have disappeared, this is a biggie for me.
4. Lost weight so much that my self esteem has jumped through the roof.
3 years and I’m younger now than I was 5 years ago!
Edit July 2024: I’m still doing keto, it’s a way of life for me. Healthy as I’ve ever been. Had a medical checkup. Blood tests scans. My doctor examined me and his words.....”All blood good!” “All scan good”. “Whatever you are doing, keep doing”.

My daughter was about 53 yo when she found out that she was diabetic. She had dozens of skin tags, mostly on her neck. She now is on medication and watches what she eats. The skin tags got smaller and smaller until they went away. I learned about skin tags and diet from Dr. Berry.😊
why meds? she doesnt need them, they only create more side effects and problems in other areas
Meds probably for high blood glucose till she gets it under control with Keto/Carnivore.
As a physician of 36 years, I can actually say he is very correct.
Thanks Dr. Clark!
How long should I allow before I simply schedule an appointment to have them removed? I’ve been eating 🍽 high fat, low carb for a little over 1 month.

What's this a medical doctor who actually wants to talk about the cause instead of just "managing symptoms"
Highly unusual!
Amazing.
Nice....the way it should be!
My doctor, in 15 years time, has never talked about the cause of a disease or what I could do to correct it. He looks at his computer screen for awhile, finds the medicine, and sends out a prescription to my drug store.

Awesome! Mind if I ask your height and start/finish weight?
How long did it take tho ?
Interesting
you could literally have done all that without removing carbs.. you lose weight by eating less, period. I stay lean and eat pasta all day every day. It's more realistic to think that all of your problems were SIMPLY from being obese, not what you ate. Also you can't have a strong cardiovascular system and heart without pushing your body physically, regardless of your diet. When you're 80 you'll still need a walker to get around because you didn't prepare your body for it. The average person eats a lot of carbs, when is the last time you went in public and saw everyone covered in skin tags? Asians especially eat TONS of carbs, I'm married to one, they stay skinny like I do. Not because of genetics, the ones who overeat are obese and have a food addiction, like most Americans do.
@@otallono - you may be able to maintain with high carbs, for a time, since you apparently are fit already.

I just had an ahah moment. When I was extremely sick from Lyme disease, Bartonella ,and mold exposure, I became pre diabetic. I noticed skin tags developing (not realizing the connection). Yes! I had numerous skin tags - under my arms, my neck, under my breasts. I started the keto diet, lost 40#, and noticed all of my skin tags went away. Life/stress happened and I fell back into the high carb, high sugar SAD, gained 50# over the past year and my skin tags came back. For me, skin tags are definitely diet related. Did a kitchen purge today, went grocery shopping, and jumping back into the keto/low carb/grain free WOE tomorrow. Even after the weight loss, after my endocrinologist said my diabetes was in the gray area of almost not being diabetic any more, and after dropping all those meds, when I mentioned to my doctors that I did it by following the Keto diet, which I learned from RUclips doctors, my GP scoffed and told me not to follow those whackos, my endocrinologist frowned and shook her head, and my cardiologist actually yelled at me for following bogus medical practices. I reached 448 at the beginning of Covid quarantine peak and my life spiraled out of control. My lymphedema ran completely out of control and I noticed that I had developed more skin tags than I used to have. I would have about 5 max here and there, but all of a sudden I noticed I had about 20 and they were spread out everywhere. I have been on a keto diet with my sister because I got to the point I couldn't walk or take care of the sores that were forming on my legs. after 64 days, I have lost 70 pounds so far and am finally getting my strength back and I noticed just the other day that my skin tags are down again and I was amazed. So, all I can say is that 70 pounds later...things are changing. :0
Congratulations! You’ve done a great job and you should be proud for taking control of your health. Please give us an update because it motivates me and so many others.

Dr, when I was pregnant I got lots of skin tags, many. And when I gave birth they disappeared, but unfortunately not all of them. Im going to follow that diet and I'll let everyone know the results. Thanks for your advices and your channel!
I had the same experience!
Don't they say women can develop gestational diabetes? I believe it goes away after The woman gives birth I'm not 100% sure on that but I'm pretty sure it's how it works maybe you got gestational diabetes when you were pregnant? And just never found out
@@matthewpitre8159 I guess not 🤷♀️ it would have been revealed in my blood works, I think. And I had some
Maybe it's due to the hormonal changes 🤷♀️
I also have a bunch that developed through my pregnancy and passed my gestational diabetes test. Very interesting!
Yes! I had many skin tags and many have just disappeared. I had heard about this while researching and doing Carnivore, now several months, which I started for health reasons. Such a wonderful "side-effect"!
overeating in general is too much for the body, we don’t need much food each day, most of us are eating for flavor not for necessity.
We eat improperly, and not on the pyramid. You lose weight eating lots of the correct foods....not less. You consume less, then you set your body in motion to hoard everything you eat into a 'fat' storage for later, as you're operating in feast famine. Also you body is driven into ketosis, where it synthesizes your own muscle needed to consume fats to function properly, then wonder why you are gaining fat weight. We consume too much of the WRONG things and not enough of the CORRECT foods.
You are exactly right about that. I'm diabetic and a couple of years ago I went balls to the wall with diet and exercise and I lost a good amount of weight and my blood sugar numbers were amazing and one of the main things I noticed was just how little food I needed to eat to be much healthier and lose weight. But the bad thing is that I didn't stick to what I was doing so now I'm at a point where I need to do the same thing again because my weight is up and my numbers are too high again.

Wow! I really appreciate your valuable videos explaining why people got skin tags ! I’ve never imagined that this could be a sign of type II diabetes.
Yep this applies to me. I used to have 4-6 skin tags removed every year by the dermatologist. After I started eating ketogenically they stopped appearing. In fact I had 3 actively when I started, 2 fell off completely after 6 months or so. The 3rd one has shrunk, and I expect it’ll disappear in the coming months.
Used to have a lot. Went low carb. They got small and went away. All good.
This is interesting -- years ago I noticed I had multiple skin tags around my neck (necklace area).
One person told me to stop wearing synthetic fabrics, another told me to only wear 'real' jewelry - silver and gold, no plated jewelry.
Then years later, I went on keto to lose weight -- worked like a charm, not only lost weight but my A1C was normal. Docs have diagnosed me with insulin resistance (prediabetes).
Now, I have no skin tags, but I never noticed that until I watched this video.
Crap, I knew I was pre D
Edit out the misused big superiority / purity term lady, pfff, all wøm’n are the exact opposite of lady etc - I am THE only Lady / Princess / Queen / Goddess / Star etc aka the superior / pure being!
Thank you for this Doc I have always been a firm believer in getting rid of the problem instead of masking it!
Good morning Dr. Berry. I have a lots of moles growing but I noticed I have some tiny red spots. Don't know they are until I started to watch RUclips. Learn a lot. Now my issue is hearing about this diet keto and the people comments.
I can vouch for this. I had a skin tag stag on my neck that I would pick off, albeit painfully, that would always return until I cut sugar out of my diet. I'm not 100% keto but Ive eliminated sugar enough and started weight lifting 3 times a week. Now no more skin tag.
Started keto diet six weeks ago. I'd been diagnosed as being pre diabetic and had high blood pressure.
Have lost about 15 pounds and was amazed to find I'd also lost most of my skin tags. My doctor told me these are age related. I also feel full of energy and am sleeping better, heartburn gone.
Fantastic results. Learning so much from Dr Berry.
I just realized after losing 27 pounds cutting way down on carbs that my skin tags are pretty much gone. I hadn't noticed until I listened to your video today!!
Had no idea this was related. 7 months on carnivore and my skin tags are indeed gone! (so is my type 2 diabetes) The more you know!! Thanks Ken!
That's wonderful!!! Great job!
What Food you started to eat,
Yes, this was true in my case. I was a full blown diabetic on insulin and other meds and I stopped eating sugar, carbs. Starting to lightly exercise, eat less food. Lost 50 lbs, got off all the meds, high blood pressure meds and no more skin tags. Everything we eat has sugar. So this is true.
90% OF MY skin tags have went away and I had a lot of them also lost over 50lbs! Not 100% keto but really have been eating more of a low carb/keto diet. Dr Berry you are the best!
I am 73 and I’ve been on keto and OMAD since July 2021. EVERYTHING is better. including no more skin tags. They’re all gone and no new ones. And, as a side note, no more meds for anything. Here’s the thing. I still have T2D and A-Fib and hypertension and a few other metabolic illnesses. BUT they are all within normal ranges and I do not need any meds as long as I stay on keto and OMAD. And I survived covid with no meds and no problem. Edit: my a-fib was caused by electrolyte imbalances, not a physiological imperfection or damage.
I wish we had more Dr's and health care professionals that read and do follow on research like Dr Berry. He's a breath of fresh air.
do you believe everything you hear???? foolish

I have had a bump on my eyelid where my lashes come out for years. I never even thought of it as a skin tag but I always hated it. I just realized it is gone! I have been on keto/low carb for over 2 months now and keep finding benefits that I never would have expected!
Unreal, unbelievable who knew? My dr is clueless
Have the same issue…may have to give this a try!!
I just realized my two eyelid bumps are almost gone, 3 weeks serious keto after a 3 week phase-in.
@@lindapelle8738 Unfortunately, too many doctors are clueless. I don't think the universities, are updating their books. lol
I just happened on this video....Now, I see it AFTER I personally, moderately painfully, removed about 50 skin tags over a three month period. Now, I'm going to try this method to keep them away. This is wonderful information. 👏
Had skins tags popping up all of a sudden drove me crazy especially the ones on/around my eyes and neck. Went on Keto and in a couple of months noticed all the skin tags had disappeared. Had no idea they were diet related thought it was an old age thing. Super happy my ketovoire diet saved me from that!
So glad to hear this doctor always gets at the source and not just treats symptoms. So sick of the medical community always treating the symptoms. By the time patient has been loaded with meds for years and later finds out the patient had some detrimental disease that could have been treated. For instance, my relative treated for Alzheimer's for 2+ years. Yes they had taken cat scans of head but dismissed the results and never reported .....because remember the docs office will call you if something is wrong on images. So no news is good news right? NOT! 2+ years later found out he had hydrocephalus of brain and brain damage was already done, irreversible, could no longer speak or walk. A shunt and proper care could have given him a long healthy life. But long terrible suffering and pain is what happened. So please be your own advocate, always get your images and records and maintain your own health files and take them to another doc for another opinion before its too late..
Isn't it amazing that if only we had decent food and diet we'd all be healthy and have less stress.
People have been brainwashed since they started pushing processed foods.
Studies that lied about food were pushed as well... and still are.
I think this so often. If you could just buy food and it’s healthy normal food. What a world we live in now ... sigh. I keep hearing about Keto - I don’t like to to much meat, but sounds like it’s worth giving it a try.
@@natashadwyer8336 in oz we do roo meat as it's high in protein, but that's the only meat.

Thank you for this podcast. Actually I have seen a reduction in the size and number of skin tags since I have been fasting one meal a day and I have greatly reduced may consumption ob carbohydrates especially complex ones. keep up the great work.
I had never heard of this until today. I immediately checked the skin tag on my eye. I've been eating a carnivore diet for about 1 month and the skin tag on my eye has definitely shrunk quite substantially. Great information!
Thank you, doctor! I had skin tags when I was type 2 diabetic. I went from an A1C of 7.0 to 5.5 in three months on keto, and my skin tags are GONE!! You are one smart doctor! ❤️
Skin tags “ran in my family.” I saw them on my great grandmother, my grandmother, my aunts, and my older sister. All eventually diagnosed with T2 diabetes. When I started getting them I never associated it with diabetes. First came symptoms of “hypoglycemia,” the. T2 diagnoses. One of my doctors mentioned metabolic syndrome. There wasn’t the same access to information back then. I have been mostly keto now for about 3 years. NO more skin tags. The old ones disappeared. No new ones.
This is the first I’m hearing of this my skin tags started 10 years ago, I was very thin but I have had hypoglycemia since A kid. I was also vegan for 20 years before I developed chronic fatigue syndrome fibromyalgia TMJ interstitial cystitis etc. that didn’t help me much. I cannot believe you guys are getting rid of your skin tags it’s unbelievable congratulations I’m very motivated now because obviously I have a huge internal problem
Families seem to tend to vote for the same party, same religion and same diet! Just my observation
Dr. Ken is correct. I wanted to shock my very slow metabolism so it would start processing food nutrients properly again. I'm older. I'd started Keto - very low carb, high fat (good, nutritious) program - 15 net carbs per day and walking 4-5 miles per day. Started April 2023 which took 3.5 weeks to get down to 15 net carbs per day and stay in ketosis. I did have skin tags on my neck - both sides. They were quite small however, they still bothered me. I didn't consume a lot of food in a day however, I loved carbs/ processed sugar. My BMI to start was 24.9 in April. Fast forward to September 2023 - BMI is 21.2. Skin tags are completely gone. This highly restrictive low carb Keto Program is not for individuals who are foodies. I'm a very picky eater so my meals were quite repetitive. If you love dark leafy veggies - non- starchy, salmon, extra virgin olive oil, eggs and want to naturally get rid of your skin tags, you may wish to consider this type of Keto Program with the consent of your physician. Another important component to this program is drinking large quantites of water. My goal was 6-7 16.9oz glasses per day. Also helpful was an app subscription to My Fitness Pal which was referred by a good friend. This app ensured I'd stayed on target, stayed honest and reached my goal. This is what worked for me. Good luck to you!
We started carnivore about a month ago; age 67 & 70 (hubby) has skin tags, and one of them fell off recently!!! He has quite a few but, I would say this new diet we are on is a sign it is working possibly. He's got lab coming up as his doc was wanting to put him a 3rd BP med. He does not like that idea at all, so we decided to try this. His doc is a big pharma pusher. Thanks Dr. Berry and Neisha for all you share. Appreciated! I weigh about 162 and Gordon was weighing in about 303 down from 317 a month ago. He is noticing his clothes are looser, but weight is not going down fast. He has been very disciplined on it. 🌻
So refreshing seeing a doctor in a country where medical care isn’t free and accessible to everyone actually try and help people solve important health issues 🙌🏻

Following the diet on this channel I've notice my skin tags between my thighs armpits and one of my eye I have seen them disappeared didn't realize that until I watched this video. I try to watch every one of these videos they're very important to me.
I have been on Carnivore2-1/2 years, and my teeny tiny skin tags disappeared along with many other things . Yahoo!! Thanks Dr. Berry.
I never realized the correlation, but I significantly dropped my carb intake as I entered my 50s, and the skin tags that used to show up over my eyelids and in my pits have disappeared.
You’re 100% correct been doing keto since 2018 I’ve reversed my T2 diabetes and surprisingly all my skin tags on my neck are all gone.
I think this has literally saved me, I have tons of tags under my arms and around my neck… wow I’ve never known
I used to have three or four skin tags under each armpit. Couple of years ago when I went on keto I not only drop 60 pounds but I dropped all the skin tags:-)

My skin tags disappeared when i went keto with intermittent fasting. All of them.
Alexis Crawford I’ve heard that if u wrap a string around it and slowly starve the flow of blood to it, it should dry up and fall off. With it being that big just take it slow if she will let u do that for her/ then again the arteries may be pretty big as well and so maybe just dragging her into a doctor to remove it would be safest incase the doc has an intense moment due to blood flow which his office would be the best location just in case.
