I just installed mine, for anyone else having trouble getting the split plastic pieces off: Push the top area where the mirror comes out (above the circle opening) until you hear a click of the tab releasing then pry it open a little so it doesn't click back in. Gently pull the passenger side piece towards the passenger door until the top loosens and twist it towards the windshield pivoting on the front to pop it off. Mine made a really loud snap but doesn't look like anything was broken. Hope this helps.
The trim where the camera replaces separates which you show. The mirror spins counterclockwise unlike some other peoples video suggests. The large flat trim slides forward about 1/2" and them lowers down with 2 hinge pins located by the mirror mount. Im super curious if this is compatible with a blend mount radar mount.

No it has not messed with any of my sensors and I have had it on for quite some time now !
