    Wonderful suggestions. For people that are saying that it’s necessary to have another kitchen to prepare this, it’s not correct. You need only order, organization, patience and a lot of love for your plants. Just checking, can you use the water mixture on a blooming orchid?
    I recently got a mini orchid and would really like to keep it going strong... how much is over watering?
    Thanks 🌷

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  6 дней назад +3

      Thank you for asking! 😊 You can absolutely use the water mixture on a blooming orchid, but be careful not to overwater. For a mini orchid, it’s best to water when the soil in the pot is completely dry, which is typically once a week. Make sure there is no water sitting in the pot to avoid root rot. Always check the moisture level in the soil before watering to prevent overwatering! 🌸

      @@knittingjourney_ I tried it on one orchid “tree”, but it kept rotting. Now I see the problem was that I didn’t seal the open ends with wax. So the tree continued to rot.
      I don’t try every trick people speak about, but I did put banana skins, thinly sliced on the top of the moss. Those orchids are jumping out of the pots! So far I have 2 flower stalks on different plants & 1 Kiki!

    1 Banana peel thinly cut + a piece of bread + 1 tsp yeast + 1 spoonful sugar + 500 ml water. Leave it in cool place for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, take 2 litres, add 50 ml of this liquid and add to water. Method 1 - Fertilize the roots, Method 2 - Spray on the leaves,. Do this once a week. Method 3 - Wipe the leaves with this water every 2 weeks.
    To revive damaged plant: Use 2 tsp of cinnamon powder, add 1 litre boiling water, when water cool down, filter out residue, and soak in this water for 30 mins. Use pine bark, dry pumice stone, and add dry moss on the surface, keep in cool and well lit place for 7 days and spray water every 5 days.

      @Happinessgarden666  7 дней назад

      Natural fertilizer mixtures like banana water can typically last for about 1 week if stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. However, you should always check for any signs of spoilage or change in smell before reusing. If you want to store it for a longer period, consider making smaller batches to avoid waste.

    I really liked your inspiring video on natural methods of reviving seemingly dead Orchids, Thank you! But please explain the Title? What is this one thing to put under, to get 100 blooms etc,? I didn't hear this thing mentioned, thanks.

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  2 дня назад +2

      Thank you so much for watching and appreciating my video! 😊 The title refers to creating the best conditions for orchids to bloom abundantly, and the "one thing" mentioned is a natural fertilizer or ingredient that helps nourish the plants. However, the 100 blooms are a symbolic goal, representing the idea of creating the best environment for your orchids to thrive and bloom beautifully. You can try using natural materials like banana peels, apple peels, or coffee grounds, which help orchids grow strong and produce many blooms. If you missed the detail in the video, I’d be happy to explain more!

      Yes, this method can work for many other plants, especially those with green leaves. Natural fertilizers made from bananas, apples, or ginger can provide essential nutrients that help the plants grow strong. However, you should also pay attention to each plant's specific needs, as each plant may require different nutrients. If you try it, observe your plants to ensure they are thriving.

    I am confused by the comment you wrote but I don't see played out in the video:
    "Place 1 piece under the orchid!" So, my question is place one piece of what under the orchid ? Did I somehow miss that part ?
    someone gave me my first orchid for my birthday which was 4 months ago... I bought planting mix which is just bark for the most part....and the pieces are quite large so I hope they are supposed to be.
    The flowers it had did not last long. I waited for the stem to look like it would not make more blooms and cut it off , not too close to the plant.
    I spray orchid food on it every week but am probably under watering , I have no idea if I should worry more about under or over watering
    thank you

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  7 дней назад +1

      Thank you for sharing your question! When I mentioned "Place one piece under the orchid," I was referring to placing a piece of material like bark, stones, or some other drainage material at the bottom of the orchid pot. This helps prevent water from collecting and keeps the roots from rotting.
      As for the potting mix, bark is commonly used for orchids, but if the pieces are too large, you can break them into smaller pieces to improve moisture retention while still ensuring good drainage.
      Regarding watering, orchids prefer moderate moisture. You can try watering when the top layer of the potting mix feels dry, but avoid letting water sit in the pot for too long as this can cause root rot. Check the roots to make sure they are healthy and not rotting.

    How long does the fertilizer water keep???

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  8 дней назад +1

      The shelf life of fertilizer water depends on the type of fertilizer and how it's stored. For natural fertilizers like banana water or ginger water, you can store it in the fridge for about 1 week. If kept at room temperature, it’s best to use it within 2-3 days to ensure its effectiveness and prevent nutrient loss. For the longest and best storage, always make sure the fertilizer water is sealed tightly and kept away from direct sunlight.

      Orchids often die due to rotten roots. Feed mixes can help a healthy orchid grow more vigorously but won't be helpful to an orchid with root or stem rot. I've been given two orchids that had root rot even though they'd not long been bought from the shop. I removed the growing medium, cut off the mushy or papery roots, removed the peat plug and if the orchid has next to no root system left I will pop in orchid ICU. Look it up on RUclips, some people use water some use soaked sphagnum moss. This man's spraying by the way might contribute to stem rot by getting moisture in between the leaves.

      Thank you for watching and for your kind words! 😊 The formula I shared is primarily for orchids, but you can definitely try applying it to epiphyllum as well. Epiphyllum, or "night-blooming cereus," thrives in humid environments with indirect light. You can use the natural fertilizer in the video to help the plant grow better. However, make sure to monitor the plant regularly and adjust as needed!

    • @Happinessgarden666

      After the orchid blooms, you can still continue using natural fertilizer to help the plant grow strong. However, during the blooming phase, it’s best to reduce the amount of fertilizer and focus on maintaining proper humidity and light for the plant. The orchid needs time to recover after blooming, and the fertilizer will help keep the plant healthy during this period.

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  7 дней назад +1

      Cuando riegas las orquídeas, no es necesario secar las hojas de inmediato. Sin embargo, si riegas demasiado o las hojas permanecen mojadas durante mucho tiempo, puedes dejar la planta en un lugar ventilado para que las hojas se sequen por sí solas. Asegúrate de que las hojas no permanezcan mojadas durante mucho tiempo, ya que esto puede causar moho o problemas de enfermedades. Si riegas por la mañana, las hojas se secarán más rápido durante el día bajo la luz.

      All three methods I shared can be used for the plant, but there's no need to apply them all at once. You can try each method individually, for example, if you use the banana peel method on one day, the next day you can use the apple peel method, and so on. There's no need to use both methods on the same day. The important thing is to make sure the plant gets the right nutrients without being overloaded. Don’t forget to monitor the plant’s condition to adjust the fertilizer amount as needed! 🌱🌸

    While this looks like a useful fertilizer, I wouldn't recommend adding yeast to the mix.
    Yeast produces ethanol as a byproduct of consuming sugar. Ethanol has been shown to stunt plant growth in a 5% concentration and concentrations over 25% can be lethal to plants.
    You can just put the banana and bread in water and use it without the yeast.

      Hello,
      Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😊 You’re absolutely right that potassium and other trace minerals are commonly found in most commercial flowering plant fertilizers. Diluting the solution will provide nutrients without overfeeding. However, as you pointed out, using homemade fertilizers might attract pests like compost gnats or fruit flies. To avoid this, you can ensure the soil stays dry, without excess moisture, and avoid over-watering. You could also use yellow sticky traps to control gnats.

    My orchid leaves are getting yellow at the bottom of the plant

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  5 дней назад

      Yellowing leaves at the bottom of the orchid can be a normal sign, especially if the leaves are older and naturally falling off. However, if this is happening on newer leaves, it could be due to several reasons:
      Overwatering or underwatering: Orchids need moist soil, but not waterlogged. Check the soil moisture and adjust the watering accordingly.
      Lack of light: Orchids need indirect light to grow. If your plant is in a low-light area, try moving it to a place with more gentle light.
      Too much fertilizer: Over-fertilizing can cause the leaves to yellow. Reduce the amount of fertilizer or change the type of fertilizer if needed.
      Examine your plant carefully to determine the cause and adjust the care routine accordingly!

    • @Happinessgarden666
      @Happinessgarden666  7 дней назад +1

      If you're asking about using a jar to ferment natural fertilizers or other materials, no, the jar won't explode if you place it in a well-ventilated area and don't seal it too tightly. However, if the contents of the jar become too acidic or develop bacteria, gases may form, increasing pressure and potentially causing a hazard if the jar doesn't have space for air to escape. For safety, you can use a loose lid or leave it slightly open to allow airflow.

      It’s just a title. I think he’s very good at writing attention grabbing titles. Jeez give him a break it’s just marketing, Denise.

      Dziękuję za uwagę! 😊 Przepraszam za pomyłkę w filmie. Rzeczywiście, należy stosować to na górnej części rośliny, a nie na twarzy. Będę bardziej uważny w przyszłych filmach. Dziękuję, że śledzisz i pomagasz mi się poprawiać! 🌸

      Obviously, you know absolutely NOTHING about the care of orchids, or you would not have made such a ridiculous comment. I have grown orchids for years, and this is a great video for beginners to expert growers.
