Can Rye be aged in old/used casks? Or also brand new like Bourbon?

If using Rye, I recommend Russell's. If using Bourbon, I recommend either Woodfords, Knob Creek or Makers.

I don't mess with Canadian whiskey because they have no requirements. When I drink rye, I get a tongue tingle. While bourbon is incredible smooth. In currently drinking bowman brothers bourbon whiskey as I type this.

They can also use malted barley for bourbon or rye. Which is used in bulleit rye whiskey. Its 95% rye and 5% malted barley. To be whiskey it must be distilled from fermented grains. Corn wheat rye malted barley.

Interesting video! One bourbon, one whiskey, one beer. Is it true that that ordering those drinks in that particular order is somehow a great irritation to a late night bar tender?

Bartender here: well, bourbon is a type of whiskey so you're ordering a specific whiskey, then another whiskey not specified, then a beer. Theres no order that irritates bartenders, only thing thats irritating with ordering with a group is everyone not ordering at once.

Can bourbon be call bourbon if made anywhere other than Kentucky?

Yes, Bourbon does not need to be made in Kentucky, it can be made anywhere in the United States, but it must abide by a few specific rules in order to be called Bourbon. 51% corn, aged in new charred oak and there are specific age requirements.

He is incorrect. It has to be atleast 51 percent corn, not strictly 51 percent corn. Meaning that it can be morse than 51 percent corn.
