Just searched this as my works van alarm ( 2020 merc sprinter) has been going off all bloody night !!! Will have a look today and see if this is the case …. I’m bloody shattered !!!! Cracking video and nice one buddy 👍👍👍👍
Didn't think I'd find watching a light replacement interesting, but here we are :) Pretty interesting stuff and I can see this helping a lot of people. Interesting design choice of them to put the ariel right above the internal lights, but they didn't think that one through.
its just drazy daft mate , you see a lot of car and van makes put the aerial there and when you think of it there allways above the light , weird but hey we know about he problem new thanks to this fool . cheers for watching mate

Great tip! Water and electronics don't go together very well lol. Whoa! those are expensive! Yeah you definitely want to keep that protected!! I bet there's a lot of people that never would have thought to see if there's a moisture issue there. I think this is amazing advice.
Yer it’s one of them things that I never thought of but after us having the issue it was time to do some problem hunting . Thanks for watching guys stay safe .
Thank you for making this video! I found solution to my problem also 👍 Mercedes Vito van had similar wet areas on roof lights circuit board, which made alarm go off randomly / blinking hazards after locking doors.

Hi thanks for this.My alarm just started going off randomly 3 days ago through the night locked unlocked.I did notice a little dampness in the internal light. After watching this i took it out put it on the radiator then covered it with plastic same way you did.Lucky when i plugged it back in the lights started working again AND the alarm hasnt went off since.Thank you 😊

There really dose not seem to be many of them about which was a bit weird but people seem to call them buy all kinds of diffrent names as well . But searching google for them and looking at images got us to the right one . On amazon it was called this ( Interior Light V Crafter ) hope this helps
Videos has been a great help thank you. Do you think it could be the same problem with my VW GOLF MK5 2007? Im getting virtually same issue. When unlock the car most times the alarm goes off n not sure why.. any help or advise would be much appreciated 🙂
Nice bit of information there for those with the same vehicles. I bet there's a few out there that's been caught out with this and a large garage bill. One question, why have you got the air intake on your snorkel facing forwards, when driving in heavy rain it allows all the rain water to go straight into the filter. Have fun and catch you later. 👍😊
Lol mine was dripping when I was in Cornwall.. I put it down to condensation but could of been the arial as it hammered down most of the time I was there 😅 Congrats on the 4K dude.. not jealous at all 😆👊🏻
Great video thanks for your efforts. I have the 2 front sensor buttons and mini lights working but all 4 bulbs are out after checking wire connections. Aerial is tight and bone dry in the roof. Changed fuse but still no luck. Any ideas or is it a new unit time. Thanks in Advance.
Dismantle the unit mate and check the main input solder points you might find there cracked . It’s worth a look if nothing . But there are people on eBay offering a repair service if you do a search mate
Great video. I have an issue with my vw crafter 07, with the internal alarm going off randomly and draining the battery. I want to disable the alarm, either by pressing a button or disconnecting a cable as I'm sick of the battery being drained flat as the van is kept in storage. Any advice on how to achieve this would be great , thank you.....T.
Really depends how long it’s in storage for mate . If it’s longer than a month then the only thing you could do is iscolate the battery TOTALY so the van has no power . Even clocks and other non used things will pull a draw on the battery and flatten it after a few weeks . You could fit a total kill swich that disconnects the battery and mount it under the bonnet . Obviously you would have to lock the van then kill the battery and close the bonnet and then re open it with the key , connect battery then open it with central locking . This would keep the battery in a longer state of charge . Also add as quite a good anti theft as well
keep searching mate there is a van out ther with your name on it buddy , and yes defo have a look once you get yours and see if ther is any thing up there that needs a tighten or some sealent round it ,, thanks for watching bill , hope your safe an well
