I kind of like your your videos because you have ghostbuster toys and I like
I was born in 84 and sadly only obtained all the lines AFTER the original four, which tore me up as I never wanted all the outlandish gimmicks and outfits. All I ever wanted were figures that looked like they did in the show with their proton packs. Which is what made the "Slimed Heroes" line so special to me. The proton packs were purple, but who cares I thought. At least at had some now!

Here is some of the best advice I can give to Mattel, Hasbro and even Super 7. One of my biggest gripes about modern action figure lines is concurrent multiple-scales. Hasbro does it with Transformers, we see it in modern Star Wars, all of 'em today.
All the best vintage lines were a single scale. You could buy any of the multiple releases, first to last and the action figure from the end of the production could fit into the vehicle or play-set from the beginning of the line.
It's way easier to collect and there's no confusion.

This whole quarantine lockdown has made me sorta take the time to reacquire lost figures and toys from my childhood - house I grew up in was foreclosed on after my dad died and I wasn't able to really get many of my childhood stuff out before it was trashed out - so I had only a few random figures that I somehow managed to save - maybe because they were in other boxes or whatever. So I've been slowly but surely re-buying old toys that I used to have (and some I always wanted to have) what really kicked it off was re-buying a new Ecto-1 and an Ecto-3 - and then I found Firehouse (missing doors and sign and containment unit) at Goodwill that I got for like 2 bucks. I HAD one that I kept up until a few years ago and I'm sure some well meaning friend of my mom's tossed it because well the grey support thing was duct taped together and it was old - but still, it was something I managed to keep around ever since I got it. So I was thrilled to get another one that was in better shape than my old one - can't say enough for Charlie's Toy Box's doors and sign replacements - and then... I overspent on a couple eBay auctions of toy lots - and some of them had to dirtiest toys I ever saw - so yeah if you're thinking buying a lot on eBay is a good way to get a bunch of figures - it can be but you're sometimes getting stuff that's literally been sitting in gunk for 30 years. I have an Egon 1st series figure that looks like it's got spot mildew on his leg.
All that aside - it's great watching videos like this and seeing complete sets - so a) I know what i'm looking for again and b) reminding me what I still want to find! I used to have everything up until the backpack heroes and the slimed heroes series - those were a bit of harder sell to get my folks to buy me those - since a) they looked similar to toys I already had and b) by that time the line wasn't getting stocked nearly as well as it was - so there were a lot of peg warmers. I ALWAYS wanted to get that backpack Janine - I loved figures that came with things like cars or winged packs or other 'vehicle' type things. Made it more of a complete 'mission' toy - could just take that and its ghost and have a whole play scenario I could playout wherever. and c) well by that point I was into another Kenner toyline - Batman.
I have to wonder if the kids seeing the toys we grew up with re-released will think they are as cool as we did... or do kids not play with action figures like we used to? Coming up with whole stories and scenarios and role playing them out with friends or alone? For us - these are probably going to be kept in package because hey the packaging from our youth is long gone - so it's nice to see what they came in originally. But I love seeing collectors like me really try to preserve these things. Keep it up!
I had the slimed hero’s and I loved them they are hard to find now I have two carded, ray and Louis but yea ecto glow are grails now, my ghostbusters collection is growing but a long way to go, loved watching this
I just about took a double take when I saw Egon's lab. I had no idea before watching this video that somebody 3D printed it. What a time to be alive.

Amazing collection and you have it displayed very well in that cabinet with the tiered shelving. Q) Have you noticed OR do you think thee re-release of the Hasbro Kenner Ghostbuster line 2020 / 2021 line-up will / has affected the resale values of the vintage originals?. I know i tend to buy vintage BUT if there is a re-release thats near identical to the vintage ill gravitate to that instead especially if the figure is rare and often incomplete.
