Hi! I got a new radio, it’s similar to this one. The blinkers and the lock bottom work fine. I don’t know if I did something wrong, but the radio itself seems like it’s not working. I need some help, please!🙏🏼
good video but, you should have replaced the fuse while filming so your viewers could see it working in this video. they might think you didn't install it correctly.
My radio is similar but there's three wires that connect to the green circuit board also, where or what are those wires for? The manual isn't specific at all. I'm think it's to test the radio for power before installation? Manual said something about it but there's no red wire, it's orange white and black that connects in but wires are open with no connection that the wires would go into. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW great videos, very helpful, and much appreciated 😊
Does this unit show the climate controls as you operate the climate alsi doe it show parking sensors as it did on the original screen also hpw does the sound compare to the original radio
At 11:17 yours isn't like mine, it's soldered directly onto the green board. I had a hell of a hard time getting it in and at one point thought I plugged it in the wrong way as I could not get it back out. Glad I eventually got it to seat properly. I think my canbus may be bad. None of my steering wheel controls are working.
So if I buy a touch screen radio from eBay that comes with the trim I no longer need an original receiver? My receiver went out and I want to put a touch screen in but don't know if I have to buy a new receiver as well as the touch screen and car trim as well. Any answer would be much appreciated. Thanks😊

Hi that seems to be a common problem. I do think its possible your connector may have been knocked off it. Thats worth checking. and for damaged / bent pins

Hey glad to help, you can pause the video where I show the wires connected on the back. They all fit in 1 specific spot and can't be mixed up. Except for one. Take note of the "ugly colored harness" and make sure that's plugged up where I had it. And I believe you need that one attached for the camera but I could be wrong. You can check the manual to be sure. I don't have it anymore and I'd have to pull the radio out to check. If you look at my video "project Focus clutch actuator replacement" I show a possible way of routing the camera wiring into the car
Do you think the 8 core would be a significant performance improvement or no? I had the slowest one (1 gig ram 4 core or something) before i sold my last Focus, and LOVED it and used it every day for bluetooth music driving to work but the Nav was really slow and it didn't have carplay. I didn't mind it but my passengers complained about it. Do you think it matters how fast it is as long as I get the one with CarPlay if I just want music, GPS and the big screen?

Nice video I installed this into my gfs mk3 for her bd abfew months ago It worked great However for some reason the lcd is now just black and nothing can bee seen on the screen But the sound still works and the phone connects to bt. And also touch buttons work because if I press where the voulume up and down suppose to be. Has anybody had an issue like that What can I do to make it work again
Im wanting something like this so bad for my 2016 st but all the reviews i see are so bad like flickering issues and backup camera issues. But idk if the issues are caused by diy installation or not 😂. Might just have to get one and try my luck.
Should be able to just plug it into the yellow port on the back of the radio and it'll work on it's own. If it doesn't, check for a damaged cable, dislodged connector, if everythings ok then message the seller on amazon (may need another camera)

If i remember right, when you go to an aftermarket radio like this, you pretty much lose sync, but gain the voice commands offered by the new radio. I haven't had that car in a while

Always unhook your vehicles negative battery before installing and always tape the end of those wires that you didn't use. They'll receive power during certain functions and short out. That's more than likely what caused the blown fuse. Good video other than that. Thank you sir.

If you can get it on amazon, they're good about returns if you don't like it. It's worked fine for me. Steering controls work. Sounds about the same as the factory radio, I do still have the factory speakers. It comes with a mic you plug into the back

Have a quick question Ben. My stock radio had two antenna cables that look similar one is yellow and the other black, all videos I’ve seen so far only have one. Which factory connection one do I connect the aftermarket radio to? Any help would be appreciated.
Maybe one is for the GPS antenna. If you have nav. I'd try to match colors. Or try one and see if you have radio reception. This radio has its own GPS antenna
double check your connections. Theres a connector for the blue box which can fit on top where the "big ugly harness" plugs into and create a short circuit
These can be quirky radios. I had an issue where sound only came out of 1 speaker. It went away after a few days and never happened again. The customer support seemed reasonably helpful, you can try them

You're welcome, I'm glad it was helpful! I've never installed an aftermarket catback exhaust on any of my focuses - because of the high price. But perhaps I can delete a resonator, or something along those lines
I'm not familiar with that year model radio options. I see something that may work for you on Temu. But you can google it and get a dash kit..then used a standard double din setup

I dont believe so. I think that it requires using the supplied camera because its a different connector than the factory one.
I was able to use my default back up camera on my 17 ford focus

You're welcome, I'm glad it was helpful! I've never installed an aftermarket catback exhaust on any of my focuses - because of the high price. But perhaps I can delete a resonator, or something along those lines

I'm not familiar with that year model radio options. I see something that may work for you on Temu. But you can google it and get a dash kit..then used a standard double din setup
