I'd have to say I love the hand painted deer the best. It's a beautiful painting and so realistic. I also like the fact that you can take something broken and make it beautiful again.
I love the hand painted deer. He doesn’t need anything between his ears. He’s gorgeous! The basket with red truck and bread board are more favorites. Thanks Sonnet 🎄🎄🎄
I love little footstools, especially ones that are handmade. I found my first one in the old milking barn at my grandparents farm and always pick them up. They make great risers for plants and other decor. My mother always calls them milking stools and you occasionally run across them at farm estate sales. I received my order of deco paper from you recently but haven’t decided what to use it on. I love your clever uses for repurposing thrifted items.
Im so glad you were able to get the deer and repair it. I think it's an awesome piece of art. Someone done so much work on it. 9 great days and counting 💗💗💗💗💗
Oh Sonnet I absolutely LOVE Everything you created today!!! That deer painting, the deer transfer in that gorgeous frame! That cutting board, the foot stools!!! Everything!!!! 🥰🥰🤗🤗
I live in WI and we also have a vacation home in Northern WI. About 10 yrs ago I went to a rummage sale in N WI and found the most beautitiful antique needlepoint picture of a deer ( a buck). I loved it and when I went to pay for it the woman told me her husband's great grandfather had stitched it himself, and I asked, the great grandfather did it, not the great grandmother? Because that's highly unusual, but I was assured the great grandfather did it. He was so proud of the buck he got. I was just incredulous that something this beautiful, this meaningful, (but clearly wasnt the Ieast bit meaningful to the his Great Grandchildren, so be it ), was being sold on a yard sale for 10.00. It has a place of prominence in our home and always will. I loved the deer picture you rescued!
I loved everything but the deer sign was definitely my favorite! I'm so happy you rescued and repaired it. I like that you can remove the bow and greenery to be able to use him throughout the year and maybe decorate it for different seasons.
I also loved them all and if time, will be a copycat. My husband came across a gift of a decoupaged plaque of a deer he hade for my dad about 45 years ago and adding the picks and ribbon will be a fun thing to do. My dad has been for many years now. Thank you-I love your ideas.
The deeron the broken board and the white chippy frame with the black trim and the deer are my favorites! Love❤️them both so much. Both are great finds at the bins!!
I love them all!!! My favorite was the last project with the extra black “trim” solution, I think that brought it to another level!!! I love that you rescued the deer from the bins!!! I am looking forward to seeing you use all these beautiful pieces in your home!!! ❤️
I love watching you do your make overs. The hand painted deer and footstool were stunning. I loved them all. You are so pleasant when you are explaining. I'm older and enjoy good voice overs. Have a great day.
My favorite is the deer. I had to stare down a big Moose in Alaska,he finally turned and left, and I then took a big breath. That deer reminded me of that moment in my life, thanks.
My favorite is the Blacktail Inn sign. Genius! I love how you distress w the black paint. But-“centerize” 🤣😂 Should be a drinking game when you say it, so cute and funny
The deer picture looks beautiful, so glad you saved it. I really liked the way you wrapped the sides with decoupage paper on the little stool. I have found that if there is any flexibility to the drop cloth/fabric, the transfer will crack and flake off in some places, so I would be careful storing the basket. Thanks again for sharing all the goodies with us!
My favorite was the very first one the deer I love that the day you got it I was so proud for you and as far as putting transfers on fabric like drop cloth I always put it on the cloth before I add the cloth to my item, but I thought yours turned out great and you can always take a little dark green and fill in that white area where it meets the basket from the trim on the transfer you wouldn't be able to even notice it great job on everything
I have applied transfers to burlap and canvas. It's a lot easier to apply them on the fabric before applying the fabric to anything else. It needs a hard flat surface to get good pressure to apply the transfer. Seal it on the fabric and then apply to project piece.
That deer picture is so pretty, amazing find. Transfers to drop cloth, I have always added transfer first, then adhered it to other surface. Rubbing it off on a flat surface is easier and it adheres better. Still looks really great
Oh my goodness! All you needed to do is clamp it after glued. That would really bond it together then addtl boards added to back to ensure strength over time. Beautiful piece ! You are awesome!
So as usual I love them all, but the 1st and last are my absolute favorites!!! Ironically they were both deer!! I'm so in love with that deer painting and it's even more beautiful now!!
Oh so glad you saved the deer . Someone done an amazing job painting it . And you did an awesome job . And I always grab cutting boards . So glad to see redos on them
My favorite was your reconstruction and decoration of your Bins deer. Stools turned out so cute. I kind of thought your last deer needed a pop of red but you're right. If it was a real restaurant sign it would be wrong. It's just right!
All your projects were great, hard to pick a favorite one but I really loved how you added the black trim on the frame to make your piece of wood work, it turned out awesome & the black really makes it pop! Thanks for sharing all you wonderful ideas😊
I like your problem solving - gluing the lumber deer pieces and the wood frame that was the wrong size.
