This really makes me sad. I worked at the hard rock late 90's to 2005. in her glory days(Peter Morton owned-before the expansion) Great place to work. Great crew of employees(it actually had a family type feel). Back then it was "the in place" in Vegas. Tons of good memories. After it was sold off By Peter Morton it had a cold and corporate feel. I guess I said goodbye long ago, but I'll say it one last time. Goodbye Hard Rock.
We were just there as well saying our good-byes. We just missed you. We could have all sat down for a last meal at Mr. Lucky's together. We're also full-time RUclipsrs and in Vegas filming. We heard from many of the staff what's going to happen to them when HRH closes it's doors for good today! Glad you got to see it one last time Derek. By the way Rock and Roll is AWESOME!!! Let the good times roll! 😂
I stayed at the Hard Rock 2 out of my 3 Vegas trips and I can't tell you how much I LOVED it!! I'm a die hard rock and roll fan and I thought everything about the place was amazing...from the check-in area to the casino to the cool, full size rock star photos on every hotel room door, the spa, pools, every restaurant and not to mention that it was just far from enough off the strip. This east- coaster will miss you.. RIP Hard Rock Casino/Hotel. 😢🎸🥁🎤
I had stayed about 20 nights in my life. It was always a fun hotel and casino, the pool was also a blast. I saw The Who play there and played roulette at the same table as Ben Stiller, he wasnt any fun. I once proclaimed Mr. Lucky's the best 24 hour diner in the world and have eaten dozens of the 7.77 Steak and shrimp plates. RIP HRH
Thanks for the video! When we were in Vegas for the first time back in Sept. our uber driver mentioned it was closing so we made a point to go over there and look at everything before it was all gone. It was really cool to see all the signed items and special outfits from music videos etc. I bet some people are going to miss it. :(
Wow! The hard Rock was such a great hotel to see bands at. The joint is where I got to See No Doubt and so many others. I even seen the band playing in the casino area and we all chatted. So sad to see it go. I loved that hotel.
We saw a lot of shows there and we were staying at the Rio, the weekend John Entwisle (sp sorry John) passed. We saw them in L.A. several days later. We saw Oasis, Linkin Park, No Doubt the day after CSN&Y, Motley close the Joint, Def Leppard in the old and new Joint , VELVET REVOLVER GREAT, Garbage Joint and Oasis @HOB on the same night OASIS SUCKED and more.
I love your channel and I have tried some of the restaurants you have reviewed which have been very accurate and truthful. We all can depend on your videos! Can’t wait to see more!
I had no idea the HRH was closing. I've been in law school for the last few years in another state. I loved going there with my favorite cousin Will Castillo. We ate at Mr. Lucky's all the time. We loved the 777 special when they still served it. I remember looking to my left and seeing Rod Stewart in there dining one time. I even worked there one summer. I wonder if the new owners know that it's haunted? That was disclosed to me as a new employee in the orientation presentation ( WITH PHOTO evidence). I'm sad its closing because my cousin past away unexpectedly at 49 yrs. old to heart failure and I always said to myself that I'd always have the Hard Rock Hotel Casino where we had wonderful memories eating and hanging out together. Thank you for taking me back to Mr. Lucky's one last time.
Place was “MAGIC” when doors opened in 1995......my player Card number #26xxx. 5 digits. Loved it. 442 rooms. One tower..... last 5-8 years, they kept trying to put lipstick on that 🐖. If those walls could talk. RIP 40oz poured out....❤️❤️❤️
Thx Derrick. Sorry Hard Rock closing. I got some great photos with rock n rolls greatest displays there.. Great Music. Wonder where all their great displays will go. Cheers
Great video, but sad. That breakfast looked awesome. I like Heinz 57 though. I think it's a southern thing. Can't wait till you review the Virgin Hotel!
I had the pleasure to visit hard rock Las Vegas a year ago, looking forward to see what it transforms into when I return in August.............classic killers in the background
Thanks for the video Derek...really enjoyed it! Are you in Vegas for Superbowl weekend? Wondering if you are going to meet up with Matthew (SayHiToMatthew)... you two make the best video's together!
My favorite spot. I’ve spent many days and nights at the back bar. Great bartenders and staff. Will be missed. I’m happy that virgin is bringing back the staff after they re-open! I was surprised to hear that station casinos didn’t do the same when they purchased Palms. 🍸 🍷 🍹 Hard Rock!!!
I love rock and roll. Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, and others. It's sad to see a place like that close. I hope that you had a good time visiting The Hard Rock Casino
Had the $7.77 special many times. The first three years the Hard Rock were iconic. Some great parties and all nighters at the black jack tables . It was a time when the staff remembere you. It will be missed.
How ironic that the one casino that’s music themed had no music blaring. Here’s to hoping it’s a start of a new trend. It’s the thing I hate most about Vegas.
I was there for 4 nights this past week in a luxury suite in HRH. Carpet was sticky... yeah it's about time for them to shut down and renovate. Look forward to the reopen.
the steak looks more med rare but delicious none the less I would say vegas is one of the only places that its still ok to eat if theyre closing, love the vids.
I stayed their once and went to a show a few years back. Wish I could have made it back to visit one last time, loved the breakfast food at Mr. Lucky’s. Sad to see it go.
You said you would show us bubbles and brunch at pronto‘s at Caesars Palace, and that was like a couple years ago are you going to show us the bubbles and brunch special weekend buffet brunch thing from pronto‘s at Caesars Palace I love your videos and I just been waiting a long time to see if that place is worth it and you’re the best reviewer in town!
I would just like to post that I watched this video while the Hard Rock was still open, contrary to Derek's remarks that I would not be able to do so. LOL
This was an interesting video D. Since you like yoke with your steak. Next time you have steak and eggs ask for a side of hollandaise sauce and try that instead of A1. It's delicious!
A great looking steak. I've enjoyed the special in the past & should post a picture of it. I also miss the closing of Toucan Harry's at the Stardust (steak and lobster) - - or did they move somewhere?
Hey Derek, didn't know you don't drink beer. I don't drink beer either. Just don't like the taste. Going to miss the Hard Rock but can't wait to see what Virgin is going to do with it. BTW, your steak looks medium rare vs medium but you really enjoyed it so that's all that matters. Hope to see you on someone else's video this weekend. Say hi to Matthew for me!
Wonder if they will send some memorabilia up to Canada. I live near Ottawa, Ontario and the local slots/casino/horse racing place was bought out by Hard Rock and they are renovating.
He said, "i dont do truffles, it's a personal preference, they're like poison" 😂😂😂😂. Mr Lucky's and Fu asian restaurant were our favorite places to eat there. We will truly miss HRH😢😢
Although I never stayed or gambled at HR LV, I did go there to see all the rock and roll memorabilia. They have some really historic guitars. But then again, I'm old, played professionally in rock bands in the 70's-80's so I'm probably not the demographic they were trying to reach. And note, I never stayed or played there. So I imagine that has something to do with their closing, marketing conflict. As always, good video, thanks for posting. Steak and eggs looked good.
Here's something I never knew.......when not at a buffet Derek agonizes over the menu for an hour before finally making a commitment and placing his order. No shade, just another endearing little quirky thing about our Derek. ;-D
Not me. No Snowflakes for this gal. I like a man to think like a man. Besides, a channel glorifying Vegas Buffets probably attracts *ZERO%* the WOKE crowd. We're more "Middle America" types. You know, the ones the WOKES just fly over in their private jets.... on their way to all those Dem controlled cities like Frisco .....where you have to step through steamy, stinky, piles of poop to get to your 5 star restaurant....for your $1000 meal. But I digress. LOL ;-D

For a hotel that was closing in one day that steak and eggs plate looked really impressive.
Mr. Lucky's was great I ate there 50 times easy.
So many great memories at this hotel. So sad it’s closing but excited for the new Hard Rock Hotel in Tejon Ranch, CA. Only a few min away from my home
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
That steak looked like it was cooked perfect. A nice last meal. A1 is good on eggs too.

I love Rock in roll; put another dollar in the casino game baby!!!!!
How can you go wrong eating at a place called "The Pink Taco"?

42xxx and I have that card, plus 100 others I would pick up while the wife lost her ass on video poker.
Thank you for the HRH update!
Thx Derrick. Sorry Hard Rock closing. I got some great photos with rock n rolls greatest displays there.. Great Music. Wonder where all their great displays will go. Cheers
Me too, Kurt Cobains guitar was my favorite.
Great video, but sad. That breakfast looked awesome. I like Heinz 57 though. I think it's a southern thing. Can't wait till you review the Virgin Hotel!
Thank you for the Memories of the Hard Rock Las Vegas!!!
Going to miss this place . So many great memories

You really fooled me when you said you felt lucky today. I thought you were going straight for the Mona Lisa slot machine. Nice video.
I'm so Happy that a new Hard Rock is coming to Vegas
Thanks for the video Derek...really enjoyed it! Are you in Vegas for Superbowl weekend? Wondering if you are going to meet up with Matthew (SayHiToMatthew)... you two make the best video's together!
Matthew let it slip yesterday. Derek may be in a video with Matthew this weekend! Hope they try oysters again. 🤣
@@yvonneacosta2539 Awesome...the oysters faces where Priceless my favorite
I grew up on Heavy Metal. Thanks, Derek.
Wonderful video, as always. Thank you!!!!
Derek it was great meeting you today at Matthew's group pull. I look forward to watching more of your videos. This is George by the way.
Nice meeting you, George!

🍸 🍷 🍹 Hard Rock!!!
THE FOOD LOOKS SO DELICIOUS SORRY TO SEE THEM GO, THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS AMAZING VIDEO I REALLY ENJOYED IT, KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WORK
wow, was surprised to see how big that steak was and its pretty thick also. I would pay $23 for that plate. First time I have said that lol.
I love rock and roll. Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, and others. It's sad to see a place like that close. I hope that you had a good time visiting The Hard Rock Casino

Hey, Derek! Great video, as always! Food looked good! Looking forward to visiting the ironically named Virgin Hotel! 😊
At first I thought the toast was marble pound cake. 😂😂
😄
🤣
That steak looked epic! hope it tasted as good as it looked!
It looked really good
Looked tough to me. Do people use A1, ketchup, or HP sauce on decent meat?
Steak and Eggs go so well together.. GOOD CHOICE !
Thanks for the last tour of the ROCK. 😢
I went to the spa there last September, hopefully they don't change too much of that because it was amazing.
How ironic that the one casino that’s music themed had no music blaring. Here’s to hoping it’s a start of a new trend. It’s the thing I hate most about Vegas.
It does usually but they're closing so duh
I stayed at the hard rock....few times ...had awesome time..
Got lucky ..showed up early and got free upgrade ...jimmy Hendrix suite....
Awesome view
SAD to see it go, but I will always remember that epic pool party I went to there.
i going to miss it. I have a lot of great memories with friends and family here
YUMMY!!! THAT LOOKS GREAT!!! YOUR VIDEOS ROCK!!!
RIP, I loved that place. 😥
If The Hard Rock Hotel stayed open, Mr Lucky's steak and shrimp special would be $77.77 and one day, become $777.77
"The day the music died" lol 😜
Great video, Derek!
I was there for 4 nights this past week in a luxury suite in HRH. Carpet was sticky... yeah it's about time for them to shut down and renovate. Look forward to the reopen.
We had a Hard Rock here in Palm Springs. Did not last long. That constant loud music became overwhelming.
Thanks for sharing Derek. Salad for the ladies?! That steak looked perfectly cooked. Good choice, too bad no baked potato.Merrill
made my sunday morning
Saw the Rolling Stones play the Joint before Morton sold out. Great show!
I saw the maid carrying a guitar right before Mr.Lucky but oops it was a long dustpan.
HA HA HA!!!!!!
It used to have awesome day club pool parties
I stayed there in May last year and was told they would be closed by July, I'm surprised to see it's stayed open until now.
Sad to see it go!
the steak looks more med rare but delicious none the less I would say vegas is one of the only places that its still ok to eat if theyre closing, love the vids.
I stayed their once and went to a show a few years back. Wish I could have made it back to visit one last time, loved the breakfast food at Mr. Lucky’s. Sad to see it go.
I worked there for 14 years
So many memories
Another great video Derek! I hope you get to eat some yummy food for the Super Bowl. Aloha! 🌺
HR center Bar is the most wonderful bar-please keep it!

Derek’s food “ yoga” 😅
That actually looks like one of the best steaks I’ve seen you eat 👌
I stayed there for a week last september and it was looking a little run down
I love that old-time rock and roll.
Should of had the Country Fried Steak!😁👍😉
I would just like to post that I watched this video while the Hard Rock was still open, contrary to Derek's remarks that I would not be able to do so. LOL
Another awesome video. You are my Super Bowl Champ. 👍👍👍👍👍
This was an interesting video D. Since you like yoke with your steak. Next time you have steak and eggs ask for a side of hollandaise sauce and try that instead of A1. It's delicious!
Thanks for the tip!
Stayed there for my first visit to Vegas. Sorry to see it go
And are they going to sell all the memorabila and how do you purchase it
MR LUCKY CRAIG STEVENS A FAVORITE SHOW BACK IN THE DAY THANKS FOR THE COVERAGE GOOD STUFF gonna go eat now
Looked delicious Derek. I would have got the hash browns.
A great looking steak. I've enjoyed the special in the past & should post a picture of it. I also miss the closing of Toucan Harry's at the Stardust (steak and lobster) - - or did they move somewhere?

Halloween’s were always fun. I use to collect the hard rock pins. Hard to find the restaurants.
I’ll never forget the hard rock fist place I went to I Vegas and I loved it the room was koo af too. Don’t ever stay at the mgm tho
Do you know where Geri Halliwell's Union Jack dress is now? Thanks.
Love that “Rancid” poster over your left shoulder
I love it it's so sad to see it go.
Hi Derek, I love rock n roll ! I was there when it was invented! Lol 🤘🏻
Where are they gonna put the rock stuff at?

I haven't been to Vegas in a few years. One question What happened to the Hard Rock Cafe??? If I remember the entrance was outside.
Anna Roberts It closed years ago when they made the cafe on the strip.
Here's something I never knew.......when not at a buffet Derek agonizes over the menu for an hour before finally making a commitment and placing his order. No shade, just another endearing little quirky thing about our Derek. ;-D
healthy new year friend thanks for this video!
Thanks, Tony!
"Salad ...for the ladies" Yup, exactly how I think too. But ...you're in trouble with the ladies for saying it out loud. Haha 😄

You didn't see the halftime show did you?
You are a funny man, when you eat LMAO
Why did the Hard Rock close? :( Where is all the memorabilia going?
I named my son elvis Presley so love Rock an roll 🥰🥰🥰
Its late, but you just made me hungry for eggs. Now I have to get up and cook 2.
Great video Derek. I love Rock and Roll.... 😁😁
where are the revs drums going? :(
It lasted 25 years, is that good for a typical hotel and casino in Vegas?
Grew up listening to all the 80s hair bands Derek was there anything better come on you got a love some rock and roll
Maybe the Captain & Tennille, The Monkees, or Paul Revere & the Raiders? :)
What will happen to all those Guitars and pictures, will they auction them off?
Probably not. They will probably be sent to other HR Cafes or Hotels or to storage.
Last time I was there I was told some of the memorabilia was going to be auctioned off with the resort employees getting first crack...
@@bobbyg65
r they hiring ??? I fancy a guitar myself.....
@@bobbyg65 Cool! 👍
@@yvonneacosta2539 Before they close down as well, they are mostly dying... Vancouver as well!!!
