    When I have a voice track and a music track, I will add "Emphasis" to the voice track. That will automatically decrease volume on the music track each time I'm talking. Cool sound adjustment.

      That's a great idea and a great tool in Camtasia, for sure! This is an example of me showing the way I do it, as I've gotten so used to adjusting the music volume manually I just continue to do it that way.... even after they added the "Emphasis" effect/option :-) Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for this Rob. I am not sure if this is what I need. I am sure I need it. Gosh, I struggle so much with this. I watched this video and found it ultra uber complex. Does it matter what track is audio and what track is video? We need watered down version of this. Something for beginners. Do you offer one on one lessons? Do lengths of tracks matter? I see that yours are all different lengths.

      I am sorry you found this video complex. No it does not matter which track you put audio on and which track yoyu put video on... all tracks can be used for either audio or video or text, callouts or images. The length of the tracks doesn't matter... and you can scale their lengths as you see fit. The length of the video clips (or audio or whatever you put in the tracks) DOES matter though... the longer a clip stays on a track the longer it stays visible in the video. Remember that the tracks are on the timeline. I hope that helps clarify things a little. I do not currently offer coaching, but it is something I will be offering in the coming weeks.

    When trying align the screen and audio, could you not add a marker on both tracks and then stretch the screen capture until the markers overlap?

    • @RobtheMaritimer
      @RobtheMaritimer  4 месяца назад

      Yes, absolutely! Markers are a great tool you can use to help with this... it's just a matter of knowing what tools are available to you, and then applying them in a way that works best and makes the most sense for you :-)

    Curious -- with CNTRL I can back up untill I get to my error. But what if it takes a zillion backup to get to my goof. Is there a command that will allow me to only backtrack my moves in a spwcific segment of my program? Like in a 5 sec clip that includes 6 additions / notations? Understand?

      CTRL-Z will “undo” your most recent action, and line you said, you can do that multiple times to reverse several actions. You can also press CTRL-SHFT-Z to “redo” if you’ve gone back too far. But there is no way to reverse multiple things in a single click, that I’m aware of. You could submit that to TechSmith as a feature request and they may add it :-)
