I just want to rant about why Alex is a good fighter. 1)The martial art he learnt is not only bullshit but is hard to pull off based from descriptions and animations(flying axe kick requires leg power and some coordination to make enemy bleed, goat kick "sends enemies flying",which requires some serious arm power). 2)He remembers how to fight pretty quick, based on how fast he gains all of his tecniques from leveling up(he needs just 12 lvl instead of 25,although it might be just for the game balance) 3)He changes style and adds at least half of the moves there are. Not only this, but they are good combat wise(dive to prevent damage, deep thrust to stun or make enemies fall easier, iron hoof for the damage, minor iris and major iris for). Also he changes his basic stance and adds a new one(or remebers? Ed said Alex mismemorised style better than it actually is). 4)He kills(well, can kill depending on your choice)some bizarre enemies like Anaconda,Arnold Shpitz,Silvester de Maistre and people who shoot fireballs and lasers. The only problem with Alex is that he can not inflict debuffing effects except for weird TL;DR All of Alex moves have a certain purpose and synergise well and because of this he killed many powerful foes that even had some anomal abilities.
Velfet fu is kinda thrash as it doesnt really teach you how to do its style HOWEVER alex has been practicing it since hes childhood and from that he can actually use (plus in the normal world this kind of martial art is really bad as its manly to hurt someone and not immobilize like other martial arts but in the apocalypse its PERFECT for these kinds of enemys who dont really know anthing sport realatade) Im really sorry for my english
I wouldn't say Velvet fu is "trash" just that Alex, being an old man, shouldn't be fighting, period. The reason most of his attacks do recoil is from old age and his fighting style is more centered around real world self-defense, as the only thing that could break through Stan's aikido was the trick kick. If it wasn't a tournament I would bet Alex would've killed if not beat the shit out of the dude. All in all, I do agree with Alex's moveset lacking options, as fallen and stun are the only important debuffs he has, and even so, goat kick + iron hoof without the recoil. If Alex was still a kid he could probably hold his own. It's also bs that the iris moves do recoil while goat headbutt doesn't, if it's not the top of your head, you might knock yourself out.
I´m currently doing a MAX XP and therefore ALL KILLS run. There is a ton of set up, since you have to get the rando patch before you even do your first fight and keep it on the entire game. Plus you have to remember to fight obscure enemies, like Ron Constitution. It is VERY satisfying to look at the status screen and see how much more Xp Alex has compared to Joel. Other obstacles in the challenge include: -Not being able to keep Gene. He kills the franchiser outside during the meeting, and multiple kills are locked behind the meeting, so you can't keep him forever. -Not being able to use Darry, as in order for max Xp and drops, you must kill his super form. -Being locked into the third folder route -Fighting every individual shadowy figure, scorpion, and rag maggot. -Following an INCREDIBLY specific order of killing. (Ex. You can't kill Anaconda before you kill Ron Constitution, or else Ron and his buddies will leave. Or having to kill the joy boys before they leave at 24 kills).
Idk if this is more effecient but I spared Pedro and dex, because he later reappears with the Dynamite, which if you kill him with the random batch will give you more xp
So the first fight you basically gotta do is the insane random soldier fight. The other one's you can do with the rando batch, even Bob Versace (you gotta kill the soldiers cus they will die after the rando quest)
also being a nerd here he could have tested it on a weaker enemy in downtown specificaly william Double J palmer since he has broken bones, his defences are bassicaly non existant
Eyyy your first commentary watching this video made me realize how nice and calming ur voice is, its nice to see how much this channel has grown since u last introduced your channel to me. I dont play the game but it was quite entertaining watching this video. Keep up the good work fan!
1 thing I need to mention. The max level for Alex is 15. While in the video it was 14, I notice this while watching one of SpecterReaper's video on weapon. But because I already take the footage and having no idea on how to get that level. I keep it on 14. Sorry for the inconvenience. :D
Pretty solid video with decent editing and a good way of explaining how to get things. The only thing I suggest you do to improve at least in the audio department is get a pop filter to get rid of some of those "pop" sounds in some of your lines.
Infinity Unfolds adds several fights, and a lot of equipment, so I'm wondering how much stronger Alex can be there. I know for a fact that I reached Level 16 while still having a lot of enemies to fight. Plus the Empowering Televisión and Infinity Jersey XXL give you some sky-high stats, even if at the cost of all of your speed.
Hey bud, not a bad video. However, there is an item I believe you have missed out on. It is called the cosmonaught food tube. Dorimere gives you a handful through trade and you can find a couple before facing Borislav. Basically, the items give you a random buff/debuff. One of these buffs is an increase of +200 exp. Another one of these buffs is an increase in +1 attack. The buffs are permanent and would be neat to look into. Of course, there is RNG that you will have to deal with. With this item, you may be able to surpass a level or two, or simply have a lot more attack power. Anyhow, just something to keep in mind
REALLY good video the editing is on point and the idea is intresting The only problem that i have is the voiceover but i thing in time you will get better with it :)

Oh I am afraid that it doesn't increase the skills' damage, I think. Besides Satan's sauce and Fierce buff anyway. Still though, his raw punch + joy beats major iris so that's why I didn't include it.
