I love the pledges! To help me remember what type the move becomes, I just think of the combinations like actually combining the two. Fire gets put out by water, Grass absorbs water, Fire burns grass.

The rock tera Rillaboom into Dondozo was intended to confuse the opponent so much that they would throw the game 🧠💪

Always liked the pledge moves, same with terrains! Hope one day they give them a cool buff like terrains have gotten (then taken away rip grassy glide)
The type of the pledge move is the type of the 'winning' type. Fire+grass = fire. Grass+water= grass. Water+fire= water. The order doesn't matter.

it would be cool in the next game we get better attack animations and some cool visual field changes when pledges happen.
swamp + tailwind should be half speed which is pretty nutty speed control, wish they gave those moves to all fire, water and grass types

Just won a battle using this team with the swamp mechanic it was super fun! all I need is a shiny Rillaboom to complete this team full shiny
I hatched 3 shiny grookey in friend balls in a 200 egg batch! thanks for the inspiration to get Rilla that led to this :)
Venu + mega charizard was a thing at one point, chlorophyll speed and charizards sun boosted pledge hit hard and fast
Also inteleon silvally was a thing a bit later for swamp shenanigans
Forgot silvally gets the pledges too! It'll be fun when that thing comes back.

A big issue with this team was rillaboom being slower then charizard + the terrain negates the effectiveness of the sea of fire but thats inevitable when you are doing all 3 pledges

The swampy condition only reduces speed by 25% not 75%. Unless the bulbapedia page is incorrect...
Bulbapedia says quarters lol, you probably read reduces to 25% somewhere
Serebii says "reduces by 75%" and Bulbapedia says "quarters", meaning brings it to a quarter of its full value.
