Precious gem, from a precious human being, a rare soul. Joan Baez keeps her journey, now on her eighties, with the same enormous talent ( she now is painting wonderfully ), brilliant inteligence, and unshakable commitment to mankind. she is the personification of Organized Love, a bodhysattva. God bless and keep you, forever, Joan Baez. Amor e gratidão , from Brasil.
I really love listening to Joan Baez's music 🎵🎶🎼 as it brings me back to so many memories of back in the day!!! I really loved growing up in the sixties and seventies because the music 🎵🎶🎼 can never be replaced. Listening to the 🎵🎶🎵 music of Joan Baez soothes my heart and my soul ! I listen to her all the time. Joan's music 🎵🎶🎼 calms me when I get really anxious.Joan Baez's music 🎵🎶🎼 ROCKS! PEACE
God bless you , dear Valeria , for the treasure you keep sharing with us. Your generosity touches deeply the ones like me that know the value of all gems from a more then precious gem who is Joan Baez. May we deserve your work and Joan`s mission. More then ever we need beauty, goodness, compassion, empathy, sensibility, courage, real Love to go through the dark times we´re in.
Gracias Juanita for treble voice celebrating all our cultural histories, the stories we all come from, determining who we are /c foibles & joys, reaching out for collaborative sharing, caring, peace & prosperity. Beyond the colonially intentional untruths & misinterpretations of Catholicism, have you ever on your father's side gone back to the days of Tenochtitlan? When Cortez arrives 8 November, 1519 or so, he is astonished at a city of upwards 350,000 people built on an artificial island, on huge lake Chalco in the Valley of Mexico. Upon crossing over one of the many causeway bridges to the city, Cortez is expecting to hold his breath, as he would have-to among the stench of European cities surrounded by the colonial disabled Cesspools of Roman invaded once 'indigenous' (Latin 'self-generating') Celtic Europe. Cortez finds instead, lake Chalco's water to be pure & clean. La escuche por primera vez a principios de los 70 y quedé fascinado por su voz y por su compromiso social, forma parte de una generación irrepetible que se inició en los años 60

Well I find that she runs a lot with her ballads, either Silver Gagger or honnest lulluby. Maybe a question of timing, or maybe she is a bit stressed. It occures to me too when I think I don't hold well a song, which I guess it isn't her case as she holds all her songs well! Maybe was it the first time she was singing honnest lulluby on stage, I don't know. But she is at the top of her voice at that time!
She introduces "Honest Lullaby" saying it's a song she wrote about the 50s and the 80s...how could she have played this at a concert that took place in '77?
I know she says that, but I found the recording of that concert here: www.wolfgangs.com/music/joan-baez/audio/20049600-3385.html?tid=18513 in addition, she says that the song has never recorded yet at that time, infact it has been recorded in 1979. it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honest_Lullaby So I think the date of the concert is correct, because she's talking about the eighties in advance, not necessarily those years have already passed...
@@masonsimpson4296 You're missing my point..I'm not complaining about it being audio only..I was expecting to see a video, that's all..By the way, I have been a fan of Joan's music for over 50 years and have many of her albums.
Gulf winds was fantastic, note perfect, not many artists sound as good live, but Joanie, Every time !

She introduces "Honest Lullaby" saying it's a song she wrote about the 50s and the 80s...how could she have played this at a concert that took place in '77?
I know she says that, but I found the recording of that concert here:

in addition, she says that the song has never recorded yet at that time, infact it has been recorded in 1979.

So I think the date of the concert is correct, because she's talking about the eighties in advance, not necessarily those years have already passed...
@@ValeriaCaucino Wow, how peculiar! Thanks for the prompt and elucidating answer.
I wish people would say that it's audio-only when they put up a post like this.
You think 🤔 so? How many great voices have you ever heard that were only audio....pure God given Talent live or recorded.
