If you're a Canadian Walmart seller it's very easy to apply for the US Walmart and you don't need EIN or W8 as Walmart will take care of it. Just in case there are some Canadian Walmart sellers here.

If you are applying to Walmart Marketplace, and you are a dropshipper, and If Walmart still wants you to list the address of your warehouse, can you list the address of your dropship warehouse? Also if you are doing P.O.D. (print on demand) and Walmart wants to know the inventory of your items, what number do suggest we put down, since the products are custom made as they are ordered.

Thank you!! The seller central account creation is instant but I currently do not know low long it's taking them to verify businesses as I got approved for my account during the old process. I'd apply as soon as possible, I don't think there's a better time of year to apply (that influences approval). You must use your legal company name and EIN for the business verification. You can use your brand name for the DBA (doing business as) if that's an option and for your website.
Hey thanks so much for your video, I just got setup and i dont have a GTIN or UPC Barcode for any of my products because im exempted on amazon. Where should i buy them in bulk because i have over 100 items? Maybe something that is cheap and works.

Hi there! In order to sell on Walmart you *need* a UPC code. So in your case, even though you created your product from scratch (private label), I'd recommend you to go to GS1 and purchase a single-GTIN for $30 and use that code when listing your product on Walmart. Hope this helps!

I created as per the procedure, but Amazon said I'm not fit to sell. I'm little confused between EIN and TIN#. I'm US citizen it is asking for TIN in application and i entered only EIN# as I didn't have TIN#. Finally i was not allowed to sell. The old form had the option to show your seller experience by providing the store links, but this newly updated application does not contain any such links and it immediately rejects you just by saying you are not fit to sell..Even though I'm an experienced seller, I didn't go through the process which is painstaking...

You must put your EIN and legal company name even if it doesn't match your brand name - that is ok! They will only ask for the GS1 UPC codes when you add new items to your catalog.
Here's a tip: you don't need a GS1 upc, you can use other upc codes which are way cheaper and has no subscription fee. The only time you need GS1 upc is if Walmart invites your product to be sold in store on their shelves. If it's just for the market place then other uoc codes will work. Look up "barcodestalk".

Yes, but you don't have to worry about this if you're not using Walmart Fulfillment. The UPC requirement mentioned in the video is regarding the UPC code NUMBER.

@@MauriceM_R you have to earn a pro sellers badge according to their requirements. IE. metrics on cancelation, returns, shipping on time, etc.

Yeah but you didn’t explain that you will have to set up website and hosting first and post some products on the website first then you can apply Walmart marketplace. What I was told before.

I don't know if you've applied yet, but if you're a non American and you have an an American LLC you need to have a sponsor to sign on your behalf for an American address and for tax purposes. Your best bet is to have an agency do this for you. You will need an EIN# too which an agency can help you with.
Wonderful update. My old account was shut down due to some shipping issues. Can I open another one under a new LLC? Would they try to back track with my name?

Your biz website with your company policies and contact info. They do their due diligence to check your business thoroughly. Walmart also picks the type of products they want sold on their platform. Good luck.
What packaging does Amazon use for MCF orders? Suppose I receive an order from Walmart, will Amazon use its own packaging to send the product to my Walmart customer?
DO NOT use Amazon to fulfill Walmart orders. That is one of Walmart's main reason for deactivating seller accounts.

Hi Jonelyn, I don't believe you can. It must be from a US Business TIN (at least for now)
Don't know if you applied yet but you need to apply for EIN and a W8 form for tax purposes. Your best bet is to hire an agency to do this for you as you need a sponsor for an American address. I started out as a Canadian Walmart seller so I was invited to apply for Walmart US and I didn't require EIN or W8 as Walmart took care of all that. Maybe you can try getting into Canadian Walmart first? It will save you a few hundred bucks and a couple month's time cause EIN takes a long time plus you are not guaranteed acceptance at Walmart US. I think your best bet is going through the cdn Walmart first.

You need to create a legit looking business website with your products and company policies and contact info. Walmart does their due diligence to check. And they choose the product deemed appropriate for their platform. Good luck.
I listed first product on Walmart for my client but it is not publishing. On account it is written Onboarding Active. I have done all things like entered shipping, return , Payment and billing settings but still it is in draft. Raised case many times with support but they are still unable to provide the solution . Thank you for the info. It didn't work for me. This is my second time trying. The 1st time was about 6 months ago. I wasn't given a reason for the denial. I attempted to log in and was blocked. I am unable to appeal the denial decision since it won't enable me to log in due to this note, "Your application has been declined and access to your account is restricted." Any thought?

@dcartiair Yes, I received a call from a Walmart Seller Central agent (after sending a message inquiring why my account was not approved) who asked questions for clarifications, and then he approved my account. It has been active since then.
I mistakenly input the wrong number for our business address. It should be 925 instead of 945. How can I possibly change that? My business verification was already successful. Your thoughts will be a big help :)

Whats the difference between a EIN # and Business Tax ID? Isn't it the same thing?
EIN is a type of Business Tax IDs. There are others but EIN is the most common in the US
