I am very grateful for your great method of teaching ❤❤❤❤❤
And I am very grateful for all my learners who keep tuning in for more lessons. In this fast-paced world in which we live, taking time to make kind comments is very special. Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
You are consistently excellent, impressive.
Quite a compliment. How nice of you. Greatly appreciated! Best wishes for a great weekend! Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
Thank you
Any lesson you want, just let me know. We will hit "hubo vs había" again. Thank you!
Nobody explains it better than you do.. Finally.... I totally get it
It can be a tough concept but we gradually grasp the concept better and better until it becomes second nature. Have a great weekend my friend! Hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
As usual, very well explained. Muchas gracias Señor Pablo
Very welcome. We will come back to this topic again and drill it in a bit more yet. Like regular maintenance on the car. lol. Have a great weekend! Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
@soyyoprofesorpablo
You too have a great weekend Mr. Pablo
Very valuable lesson. If I understand you: Standing in the present, remembering and making a point of something that is finished and standing in the past and making a point or recalling something that was going on at that time? Could I summarize as: The stating of completed facts vs a narration of events?
I like that summation. It describes the concept very well. Just be aware of potential exceptions that may wiggle through. Your language learning module is working optimally, making sense of all the input and examples and producing a generalized understanding. The language learning module we all have is a computer like no other as we process language. Brilliant and kudos to you. Enjoy your weekend. Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
I've had trouble wrapping my head around the difference between the imperfect and preterite but you have explained it real well. I was wondering what a native Spanish speaker hears if hubo and habia are not used correctly. Does it change the meaning of what you're trying to say or does it just come across as bad grammar?
I enjoy your channel, I've subbed. Thanks!!
Thanks for becoming a member of our Spanish learning community. Generally speaking, native speakers understand when someone learning Spanish makes a mistake in word choice and assumes what the meaning is intended to be. Hopefully, you will go back to the beginning lessons and progress sequentially if that works for you. Obviously you can breeze through or skip lessons you already have mastered. Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
1) Ayer por la tarde, hubo un gran explosión en la fabrica.
2) Anoche hubo una tormenta, razón por la cual hay ramas tiradas por las calles.
3) Fui al mercado ayer, pero no había nada de zanahoria.
4) Esta manana mientras caminando, había mucho tráfico en la via. (había trancón).
5) En mi escuela había dos columpio.
6) Había habido tormentas cada año en el caribe.
These sentences are fantastic! 1) una, fábrica 2) la in front of razón. 3) maybe zanahorias plural 4) mañana, estaba caminando 5) columpios plural 6) Perfect! Seriously, I am deeply impressed with your skill set. Amazing! Keep up the outstanding work! Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
@soyyoprofesorpablo
Gracias por las flores profesor.
Is hube ever used?
No sir. Maybe, maybe in ancient Castillian literature but I have never come across it ever as a teacher, professor or court interpreter. Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo.
@@soyyoprofesorpablo Thank you, this is such a better answer than everything else on the internet 😅
In the sentence "Cuando yo pasé en mi coche, había un accidente" you use VN 4 en 5. In the sentence "Cuando yo estaba caminando por la acera, había una boda en la iglesia" you use VN 5 twice. Why the differnce?
Cuando pasé = when I passed by (Preterite VN-4, not when I was passing by VN-5 Imperfect). Cuando yo estaba caminando (VN-5 Imperfect) When I was walking by (action was still happening when referred to) Gracias y hasta pronto, Profesor Pablo. Let me know if you still need clarification. Preterite vs Imperfect again.
