That’s my boy, Meyer!!! He’s been practicing and jamming Green Day throughout the pandemic. Hours each day. They are his favourite, but he also loves to play Nirvana, Pumpkins, Foo, Blink and Rage Against The Machine. Proof positive that hard work and dedication to your passion, with a little luck sprinkled in, can make dreams come true. SO FUCKING PROUD. Much gratitude to Billie Joe, Mike and Trey for being such gracious rock stars. Best show ever! Thank you, Hershey, PA!

He did great! You can tell Billie Joe loves that part of the show. Green Day is a band that seem to really love playing live. So many bands just go through the Motions, but they're up there having a blast and crowds can feel it. Same vibe I get at foo fighters concert.

Green Day are just so interactive with the crowd it imakes for an incredible atmosphere.
I rate how BJA saw he had a mask and then respected his distance despite having a crowd. It’s the little things I love about the band
The funny thing is he was giving that kid the guitar, no matter what the situation was the spotlight operators heard it through their comms. I was doing the set changes for the show. I was one of the stagehands that put the grass/fences in front of the drum riser for Fall Out Boy.

This just made my whole day and it’s only 11 am! This kid is amazing! And Billie is so awesome with the kids, love the interactions that he has with them and how kind he is with them. Brings joy to me. Once again great job kid, and congrats on the guitar, u must have some pretty rad parents!

We saw this show in Houston, and when he did this bit, it took him a little while to find someone willing to play...He picked a girl at first, got the guitar around her neck and everything, only to find out she had no clue how to play guitar, lol. In the end, he did find a guy and that guy did a great job! I love seeing kids do it a lot more, tho!

Man this makes my heart happy. Thanks for posting this. These guys have nothing to prove. They are bonafide rockstars. Legends. But they’re also great dudes, with huge hearts, who give a shit. Billy Joe knows how that moment changes someone’s life, every time. They don’t have to give away a guitar each time out. But they do it, and in a way, as we all are together in the moment, it changes our lives for the better, even if just for that moment. Powerful, beautiful stuff. I won’t forget this ever.

I wouldn’t want to go. I’ve always loved Green Day, and I want to go to one of their concerts soooooo bad, but right now, they’re paranoid (which is understandable), and all the masks, and everything just takes the vibe away. Ima try to go to their next tour.
