India has no idea how famous this movie and song were in Algeria, even if we didn't understand a word, we used to call it "janito" I used to watch this movie when I was a little boy, today I'm 27yo and I still enjoy this song and remember the good old days, this is pure gold, I dedicate this song to the Algerian people that grew up watching this
@@sarthakinamdar3370 We Algerian people love the Indian culture, the movies, the music, the dancing, and the style of life there, so we would watch Indian movies sometimes with subtitles and sometimes without, we love the language too, so this one for example marked my childhood, ask any Algerian about this one with only saying "janito" and they'll recognize it, lots of love to the Indian people ❤
My first travel to Algeria was in 2012, taxi driver who was speaking Arabic when came to know that I am from India dialled a number on his mobile, on other side was his daughter who sang this song for me. That day I realised impact of Indian movies in other countries.
The beauty of this song is that it can be related to any two people. A lover to lover. Child to parent. Sibling to Sibling. That's why this song broke every boundary.

Yes, I am from the seventies generation and I remember when I watched this movie around 1974 in the city of Asnam (Chlef) in Algeria, when I was a student at Lyceum Salem. For the first time in my life I cried in the cinema, although I knew it was an acting movie, but I couldn't hold back my tears, but I wasn't the only one who cried inside the cinema. Overall, the story of this movie is still in my memory to this day, and every time I watch the movie my memory goes back to my childhood days, which is a beautiful thing. I thank the owner of the video for providing this wonderful clip that brought together a couple and their son Raoul.

🇩🇿❤🇮🇳. I loved this movie when I was a child in the late 80s. I grew up in Paris in France but every summer I used to go back to Algeria with my parents, my brothers and sisters, in order to stay 2 months with my family for the holidays. Every summer This movie was on national television. Everybody used to watch it and then sing this beautiful song. Algerians used to love indian movies because our cultures are so similar. The family and the religion are very important to us. The respect of the elders, the importance of mariages, and we had arranged mariages too back in the day... Less now, like everywhere in the world. We also both have experienced the horror of the european colonisation and yet we are still standing and we're proud of our culture. Anyway because of this movie I started to watch indian movies again around the 2000s when I was 20 years old. My first one was Lagaan... Loved it. And then Devdas, Khabi khuchi Khabi gam and so many more After that. My all time favorites are Swades, Bhagban and 3 idiots. Amazing movies. And last year I came to India for the first time. I went to Jaipur, Agra, Varanasi and Mumbai. It was very nice. And Indian people have welcomed me very well. Everybody wanted to take pictures with me. And the Jalfrezzi Chicken... oh my god !! It's so good !! 😂Thank you India. Algeria loves you.

I don't know why I m crying listening to this song.. I would never ever wish anyone to be in the position of that guy who sang this song for her mother over videocall. May God give us strength to overcome this pandemic.. Keep safe and stay strong
After the doctor's tweet......this isn't just a song now !!! Perspectives are completely changed. My heart badly wrenched after every single words, every single lyrics. Eyes are still full of tears. Now every life lost with this pandemic feels like a personal loss. May God give enough strength to the family to bear the pain of loss. May the soul of the venerable mother rest in peace. Om Shanti 🙏
Came to know abt this song last year when i met the most beautiful person of my life… my teacher… though she is my teacher but we share a very different bond i didn’t knew that she is going to be so special to me. She dedicated this song to us cause every time we meet we feel that we have something from our past some kind of bond that feels so real. It feels we have got our other half which completes us 🤌🏻🥹 Mera phle ka hai koi naata unse 🫀🥺 RITA KI VITA 🌏✨
We all are here after a certain tweet, it is so lovely after listening to this song we can only have a glimpse of their pure bond... "This song will always be theirs" It’s never easy to lose a close person. No matter how old we are, no matter how close or complicated the relationship is, it hits hard. My deepest sympathies go out to you and to all the families who lost their close ones in this pandemic. May the God give you all the peace that you seek. May my condolences bring you all the comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of the loss. I offer my thoughts, prayers and well-wishes to all the families during this dark time in their life.

After reading the tweet and the meaning of this song, I laterally cried while watching this song. 😭😭😭 Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi, We probably knew each other before this life. Yunhi Nahin Dil Lubhata Koi, You don’t just like a person for no reason. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Whether you are aware of it or not. Maane Tu Ya Maane Na, Whether you believe it or not. Dekho Abhi Khona Nahin, Look, don’t get lost now Kabhi Juda Hona Nahin, Don’t ever get separated from me, Ab Ke Yuhin Mile Rahenge Dono, We will stay united this time; Vaada Raha Ye Is Shaam Ka, This is a promise we make today. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Whether you are aware of it or not. Maane Tu Ya Maane Na, Whether you believe it or not.

When I was in 11th class in 2018 I got my first mobile phone Nokia asha-501 from my uncle, I used listen only 90'songs and some 2010'songs.But even that time I also enjoyed to listen 4 old songs- Lag ja gale, Darde dil darde jigar, Tera mujhse hai pehla ka nata kohi and Abhi na jao chod kor. And now I have 139 old songs but this four songs are placed in special position of my heart 😌♥.
Brought up in 90s I dont know why have so much connection with 60s-80s songs. May be those songs were played by doordarshan and air so much. Zee cinema used to have raj kapoor week movies, AB week, Rajesh khanna week. We used to watch every movies. 90s was not only full of 90s music but also songs from golden era. 😍
This song has all the emotions that the child and his mother must have felt. How heartbreaking it would've been for both of them. I cried listening to this. I can't imagine what situation and what emotions that child and his mother have experienced when he was singing.
I came here after reading Doctor's tweet on twitter. This song has whole new dimension for me now, the visuals of the song are replaced by the scenario which doctor described in her tweet. Om Shanti for mother. Hope we get out of this pandemic as soon as possible and heartfelt gratitude to all the frontline workers.
Yes, Bollywood is loved all across Middle East and Gulf countries. A few years back I had visited AMMAN, Jordan and the people there were always asking me about Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh etc. They thought if they touched me they would be closure to their Bollywood heroes. Shashi Kapoor was so handsome back then... And ruled many hearts! Was always in love with his style of acting and carrying himself,,among all kapoor actors including new age ranbir ,I dont think anybody had that charm which Shashi ji had!!
To my Algerian brothers and sisters who commented on the popularity of this song in Algeria -- there was an Algerian song titled 'Didi' that became very popular in India in early 90s. :-) In Hindi, 'didi' means elder sister.

Yes!! This film was made by Manmohan Desai, who used to make "realistic films with social messages". Dharam Veer, Rampur ka Lakshman, Naseeb, Coolie etc. totally exemplary movies of "jo samaj ke liye achchha" hai!! And he did nothing for money; all for charitable purpose only.
I find Shashi Kapoor soooooo handsome!! I mean, I find him the most handsomest Bollywood actor to-date, especially his earlier movies like Sharmilee and his cherubic smile! Wow!!! RIP SK!!
What a mesmerising onscreeeb couples Shashi and Sharmila. Bollywood will never produce music and movies like this era and b4 What a mesmerising and tantalising lyrics by Sahir Ludhianvi Saab, what a Melodius Voices by Shrestha and an evergreen Kishore Kumar Saab and above all what a composition by R D Burman Saab.
