That’s actually the nicest fuzz pedal I’ve heard. It’s got loads of bottom end but real clarity and ‘bite’ in the treble too, which is very unusual for a fuzz unit
@@MikaFastfinger Well, I'm no expert, but I think the MXR is based more on a vintage Fuzz circuit where as the Ibanez is maybe more of a big muff circuit? The 108 cleans up. Not sure what I want sometimes, I just want it all!
Markus Arike Thanks! There are so many Big Muff's out there and on top of that each unit might have some tonal differences. This mini is fine working fuzz but not as open sounding as our bass player, Lasse's Russian green tank muff from 90's when we did some comparison.
@@MikaFastfinger Thanks so much. Yeah the vintage pedals are fantastic, I was lucky to find an MIJ Ibanez AD9 Analog Delay and wow, it's great. But as I have a small pedal board (Pedaltrain Metro 16), this Ibanez mini form factor appeals to me. But the reissue Triangle Big Muff, Russian and Op-Amp also sound great. In the States, you can find the Mini Fuzz used for about $50, and the Big Muffs for about $70, so not a lot of money for huge sounds. Great playing, thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Appreciate it.
Absolutely amazing playing. I love all your stuff!!! Based on this demo I'll check this one out. Does it clean up well when turning the volume knob down? I really like this trend with "mini pedals" from a lot of manufacturers. Greetings from Sweden.
+Mr. Fastfinger - Mika Tyyskä man i loved the pedal. I'm thinking about to buy one, but...what kind of pedals u are using on shows, workshops and at home? Always the same or like "one for this", "one for that" :)...
Captain Santos 99% of time I just use the pedals you see on my pedalboard (3:30), except currently i have Tube Scremer mini as the overdive instead of FrogAttack(Simble overdrive). this fuzz is just something i use when in need of such special tones.
Probably not the goal for your channel but you should definitely focus more on gear demos. I'm waiting to test that pedal too, though I have more of a dirty-clean booster role in mind after watching some videos.
Thank you! I'll try to keep the channel more versatile in the future. I'm not going to focus too much on gear demos, but will do one every now and then I guess. This was sort of an exporement, fun to do. I need a more focused point of view I think. Enjoy your booster pedal hunt!
Mario Huerta sorry the slow reply. Just testing this. I have no problem getting the levels in balance like that, but you can't make it boost the volume much higher than that.
Meinasin kerätä koko satsin näitä minejä. Mitenkäs virtapuoli, osaatko sanoa pelaako hurinoitta daisychain-metodilla, vai pitääkö olla eristetyt virtasyötöt?
Miika Tuominen Nää vaikuttaa laaduikkailta pedaaleilta. Mulla on Tube Screamer mini tän lisäksi. Toimii! olen kokeillut tätä pedaalia vaan silleen että käytin sellaista jakopiuhaa jolla sain kahteen pedaaliin virrat. Ei ollut mitään ongelmaa siinä.
Dan S. Haven't had a chance to compare the two. Didn't find info about this anywhere. I'd guess they are more or less the same. Ofcourse this one don't have room for batteries.
Matt Balilla I know, my ideal clean channel setting is nowhere clean. I don’t like real clean at all 😅 with different pickup selections i can get ot sound more clean-ish but i don’t think guitar was meant to be heard without some drive.
Nice work, Ibanez; almost Tone Bender - ish(somewhere between ,alternately, 2&3,and 4),- what they call gut AND pulp. Don't think I've heard many $200 + boutiques with the range and pure ugliness.

This pedal seems right up my alley. NEED ONE.
Great! Definetly worth testing!
Wow mate, super cool demo and amazing playing, bravissimo! You made me want to buy this pedal :)
Man, now I want this even more! I wanna switch out my mini MXR 108 Fuzz for this one... It will go perfectly with my mini Ibanez Tube screamer.
Cool! I got Tube Screamer mini as well. I have no experience with MXR 108 and how it compares to this Ibanez. Wax on!

So do you think this pedal sounds as good as a Big Muff? Great demo, thanks a lot.

Well done and sounds fantastic!
Thanks. Good demo. And a fine player.
Nice play! Does it sounds to me like a FF 108 with more harmonics. Does it like buffers before?

How much the master volume of a valve amp affect the interaction with the fuzz?

great demo.
very nice video, keep up the good work!
Can u tell me why do u have 2 pickup selector on your guitar? :D
Tamás Verók the other selector works in 3 modes: Humbucker - Sigle coil - out of phase. Just getting more variation in tone.
Weird, Usually that switch is a mini toggle instead of a blade but that's even IF there is one which isn't too common

Just got one but don't know if it have a bad level pot, at full blast it don't get unity gain in my clean channel, any thoughts? Guitar- fuzz - amp

That sound great I'm just got one to go with my Fender camp. 100 was with the fx in amp an that 💪👺👍
Unleash the furry? errr are you sure 😸
WilliamTanaka haha, absolutely!!!
How does the mini compare to the bigger OD850 reissue pedal that Ibanez just released?
