I tried Oticon for a few weeks, then switched to the Silk, just yesterday. So far the Silk is better. My audiologist ordered me the mocha ones. Can I switch the faceplate on these?
I have the Sony OTC version of this Signia hearing aid (CRE-C10) (not rechargeable) . Like it a lot for fit and comfort. I suspect that eventually I'll buy the Silk IX version because of the additional processing capability ...
I am trying a pair of Rexton iic hearing aides from Costco which I heard were the same as the Signia X 7 and they work really well. They have the battery in them, I would prefer the rechargeable. Would you say these rechargeable ones work as well as the ones with the battery, I would much rather have the rechargeable version.
@richdiorio3650 The battery only power up the hearing aids. It has no effect on the sound quality. These Silk hearing aids in this video uses a newer, more advanced sound processor than the Rexton's, so it's not really comparable. Saying that, the Rexton can also work well if it's fitted appropriately by your hearing care provider. Good luck.
The hearing aid style is recommended based on the type of hearing loss, ear canal anatomy, lifestyle, and many more factors. The Silk is specialty style that's not suited for everyone. The RIC / BTE style is generally more flexible.
@weeteelabahbyronbay1843 Did you check if if the contact on the left hearing aid is touching the charger contact? If yes, then you should see the green light indicating that it's charging. If it's charging and still not coming on when you take it out, then maybe then you should have your hearing care provider send it in for repair. Best route is to see your hearing care provider to help troubleshoot.
I took the silicone sleev e off of the aid and using one of the pick tool supplied I removed the white tip of the aid and replaced it. The aid is now working... Could a small blockage have been the cause of it not turning on. I am unsure but just happy that it is working OK again.
Hi Dr. Mai: I downloaded the Signia app, but was able to use the volume slider. This implies it is not "connected" to my Signia Silk IX. Could you please advise how to connect the app ( Iphone ) to the IX? Thanks.
@nuuk-greenland You'll need the QR-code provided by your hearing care provider for easiest connection to the app. I can't advise on this since I don't know how it's programmed. Please contact your hearing provider for assistance.
