wow - this is amazing! true mastery of the skills I´ll never have. In these 8 minutes demo there is no second where it gets boring or just too much. Its just like these routine belongs to the beat, very smooth and a pleasure to listen to. in other words: I love it!
Great job M'lady! This video inspired me to go out and buy a used Turntable and mixer to get back into it. Thanks. I love the open spaces. I hate DJs and musicians that dont respect the silence between scratches and notes. You scratch and breathe very well. Nice and clean scratching. Thanks so much for sharing :)
Its a mixer´s feature called Post Fader Effect. You dont need Serato for that...But you need a good mixer with this feature. Just love how she use that...amazing.
I love this tune. It truly is ‘mellow forever’! Also I love this womans scratching. She always ‘serves the music well’ as I’ve heard Rob Swift describe it to his students on his videos from the DJ course he teaches. Much prefer her to the likes of Q-Bert. She somehow seems more musical.
This is inspiring, I have a few friends that dj too, but i've never been as inspired to take up djing until I saw this. This is what true djing is, beautiful scratching on vinyl. None of that laptop stuff ahah.
This is really nice! Music to my ears. Would you mind if i download it to mp3 and use it for personal use? This is great for unwinding after a bad day at work or such. Thanks!
Hey just wondering, how is the track still playing if you've got the slider all the way to the left and you're holding the vinyl stationary? is the vinyl you're scratching on actually meant to be on the right side, and the left side is playing a consistent mp3 track?
please make a vocal scratch tutorial !!! i can not figure out how to scratch vocals what basic scratches can i do on vocals ? please explain me some combos ! your hands are too fast in the video ;) i want to try the vocal WORD or BASE but its so short what are the best combos for these ? thanks for help
Thanks for the tutorial request. Right now my time is taken up making tutorials for wwww.schoolofscratch.com, but try chirps and 1 click chirp flares. there's also the joe cooley scratch and drags.
Stanton T120, they have no ports for ground wire, I've never had this issue before till a few weeks ago when I set my tables & mixer up & noticed all the white noise in the background.
I'm not sure - I found this on the web: "Stanton offers (2) types of turntables, those that have an internal ground switch like the (Stanton T.120), and those that have a ground wire like the (Stanton Str8-100). If you are hearing a hum while playing your turntable, make sure that you have the ground lift engaged which can be found on the back of the turntable by the R.C.A connections." Please contact stanton direct as they can give yo more help!
thanks guys, that was really useful information..The only switch near the RCA inputs is the on/off switch but again thank you very much for the input..I didn't have this problem before when I first started using them but now after a few years I hooked them up & they were giving me the humming.
I gotta be responsible for at least 10,000 of these views. She killed this shit and the instrumental is fire too. Makes me wanna learn and quit at the same damn time! Lol. #salute ❤💯💪🏾🔥
See full video description for all the details! Beat: Mellow Forever 97 BPM - studioscratches.bandcamp.com/track/mellow-forever-97-bpm Scratch Record: studioscratches.bandcamp.com/album/digital-skipless-scratch-record-volume-1
The music is being played through one channel using the computer (Serato), then all the scratching sounds are made by using samples on the record. I'm also using a delay fx in places so make a reverb.
Yess, I understand the music being played, but what are the samples are they on the physical record as some Serato Controllers have or are You controlling a track with those vocals on there, if so What is that track ?
So its: This Beat: Mellow Forever 97 BPM - studioscratches.bandcamp.com/track/mellow-forever-97-bpm (no turntable used to play it) And... Scratch Record: studioscratches.bandcamp.com/album/digital-skipless-scratch-record-volume-1
***** So I am using a Serato Control Vinyl Record, to control this track: studioscratches.bandcamp.com/album/digital-skipless-scratch-record-volume-1 which has all the samples, like "Ey what's happening? How you all doin' ". Hope that helps!
wow - this is amazing!

Hey just wondering, how is the track still playing if you've got the slider all the way to the left and you're holding the vinyl stationary?

You and the American DJ Shortee should take your show on the road :)
I have a question, how would I ground my turntables when they have no place for ground wire.
Which table is it?
Stanton T120, they have no ports for ground wire, I've never had this issue before till a few weeks ago when I set my tables & mixer up & noticed all the white noise in the background.
I'm not sure - I found this on the web: "Stanton offers (2) types of turntables, those that have an internal ground switch like the (Stanton T.120), and those that have a ground wire like the (Stanton Str8-100). Ahhhh, thanks ;)
Keşke şöyle bir cihazım olsa sabah akşam scratch atarım
That record is hard to find
how is he/she doing it with just ONE turntable?
There must be a backing track for the Music
She is just controlling the Vocal cuts
The music is being played through one channel using the computer (Serato), then all the scratching sounds are made by using samples on the record. I'm also using a delay fx in places so make a reverb.
