Imagine if certain Ms got the Freedom Boss Treatment RX78 -increased beam rifle speed -Guntank and Guncannon assist -Increased melee priority for his 2B -Gundam Hammer has higher swing range
I mean to be fair there's a reason why it's the "Boss" Strike Freedom. As for the normal's usefulness, you do have to remember; Versus games didn't get really good until the days of Extreme vs. (Hell in Plus, you can't even guard with every unit.... only the ones that have shields!) Besides, at this point it's like doing a comparison to playing Akuma vs Shin Akuma.
Except Akuma is almost always good or top tier. A great character with many options that just gets stupid in the boss version. Regular SF is so sad, it has nothing.
@@uandresbrito5685 .....not in Alpha 2 he wasn't. But anyway, as I said; Next Plus wasn't made to be super competitive given the technical limits of the PSP. At best, it was a game you could play with your buddies and simply have fun playing your favorite suits. And if you really want to talk "Nerfed", what about the Sazabi? Or even Master Gundam? Hell, even the Gundam MK-II (Titans) feels underwhelming! What I think the real issue is, we're too used to how suits play in newer entries and in the case of the boss units; we aren't even supposed to play them to begin with.....
@@Phoenix_Destiny_Kai I said almost, you read it. Not really. Just because SF isn't the only one doesn't mean it's any better. It's not only about balance, but the suit being poorly implemented into the game for no reason. But of course you'd interpret it as me invalidating their presence in the game lmao It's better to have a meh unit than none, but that doesn't detract from my criticism at all.
As someone who kept playing GV NEXT+ constantly on my emu, I can very much agreed that the unit is one of the worst 3K cost unit alongside DX. I would add Epyon but that unit is Melee-based. However, God Gundam is much more better than Epyon in terms of Arcade mode when against Boss units. Would really recommended the Freedom and Destiny than the SF. Also, best 3K unit personally would be 00 Raiser. Spams the Shotgun charge is so much satisfying and also the unit is OP in this version of GV.
What did you say about the Double X? The DX is a great suit in this game. The Satellite Cannons are godly strong and can half health even the sturdiest 3k suits in the game with one shot. Even without the SC it still has one of the fastest recharge times for weaponry and has pretty strong damage for any weapon across the board. Not to mention it's G Falcon assist is pretty fun to abuse. Get good with positioning and predicting the enemies and you'll see how strong it truly is.
@@REALMARCHINADER Then it is not for me then, because despite the ability to have 3 charges to eliminate 3k units effectively, the support is sadly a one-shot use and need high skill to land a shot properly with the Moon canons. Honestly, as of recent, I'd put V2 Gundam in the list for best 3K units. The unit is fast, shield bash can auto-block. And in V-Buster mode, you can block attacks by D-pad South + O (Psp controller), an easier way to input the defend. I would even add that beginners can easily use V2 Gundam in this game.
@@renashi0127 The main strength of Double X comes from it's simplicity. It's moveset is simpler than even the original RX-78. It's especially noticeable when you're fighting multiple at a time. Basically, if you hate Double X, you're just ass at the game.

@@uandresbrito5685 It's even worse that SF's health is almost on par with standard 2000 suit health. Only thing saving the suit is the SEED Mode CSA (HiMat Full Burst) and multi target CSa. Rengou vs ZAFT 2 SF have solid movesets + flexible speed to for not just firing spam but close combat too, while not OP too. So idk why Next Plus nerfed the thing to this pathetic level
I guess because of how good the SF was, they have to do that to make the other gundam more viable in gameplay. But still, although a lot of player don’t really like this, I personally manage to prevent the SF boss making any pressure to me. Of course I didn’t use any cheat
You should see Boss SF in Full Boost vs the actual playable SF. There's a mod that makes it playable and ho boy... which is somewhat scary coz Full Boost's SF isn't all that bad, in fact... All future games' SF is just very slightly tweaked versions of it and in Maxiboost ON it's very high tier... yet Boss SF rapes its shit inside out.
I really hate that they limited the Full Burst attack, we can only do that attack twice max (if you charge the CSA, delay it, going seed mode and charge again to the max, you can use the Full Burst at Higher count of Seed mode (around 70-50) then charge it again before the seed mode gone to do it again) Number 2, No badass Super Dragoon Combo. That attack is so cool but they dont let the playable one have that attack
This is so sad. Freedom has infinite Full Burst, some of the coolest melee in the game and is a high tier unit and SF has like 3 different melee and everything is bad or average besides the main(weak) ammo. I refuse to play Freedom because of favoritism, but its cool combos are so tempting...
square + X, it sends you into seed mode and your charged attack will do freedom's signature move as seen at 1:38. Not sure what else it does other than that.
