Thank you again, Clare for another great tutorial. I have so many other craft projects on the go, but your series has really inspired me. I have dusted off my gel plates, ordered more Paynes grey and am having a great time, thank you. I have loads of those little shapes, which I will use, but I love the scale of your mid-century pieces, so am just off to order some of the larger sheets and some more transparent paints as I am down to the last squeezings.
Great prints, Clare. I haven't used the self adhesive foam before - I just glued the foam to the cardboard. It takes longer, but is still a good result. You can also layer up the foam if you don't want the stamp backing to print. I like the handle idea!
Thank you, I would encourage anyone to use what they already have. Foam glued down firmly works well, I just already have the self adhesive shapes and sheets. I intentionally don’t build my stamps higher, I like the way the backing takes more of the paint away creating lighter areas for the next layer to pop through. It’s a great idea to layer the foam if you don’t want the backing to touch the plate. 🙂
I thought it looked very affective. I have used the odd shapes that I have left over from laser cutting. However I struggle to pull up more than one layer. No idea what I’m doing wrong???
@@sandrasherriherrington5036 Hi Sandra, are you letting the layers dry on the plate or pulling each layer off when the paint is wet? If you have lots of layers dried on your plate, apply a layer of white paint or matte medium. Lay your paper down, give it a good rub to make good contact, then leave it for a few minutes. The more layers and the thicker the paint you have used, the longer you need to leave it. Some people also put books on the top for added weight. Hope this helps 🙂
Fabulous video, clear, non fussy, informative……
Thank you, your feedback is greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thank-you Clare for another wonderful video! I have never made my own stamps but I now want to give it a try…you are so creative! 😊
Thank you, you must give it a try, it’s a great way to build shapes and layers of colour. 🙂
