Metal Detecting an old lawn pays off!

A cold turkey permission pays off in the lawn for me. Just when I was getting tired of digging pennies, one hole coughs up a Walking Liberty Half, a Barber Quarter, and 2 wheaties!

When i was a kid.. probably 45 years ago, I grew up on a rural mountain where my parents still live. I was waking home from school near the top of the hill just off of the paved road in the dirt and kicked up what I thought was a bottle cap. Turned out to be a walking liberty quarter. I remember exactly where I found it. Worth going back with a metal detector?

Thanks Richard! Between the lawn full of pennies, and that crazy cow fencer zapping me in the headphones every 1.5 seconds…I needed the change of scenery! Just when I least expect it, another FIRST presents itself!
In my experience, the fencers kind of mess with tones…and maybe even makes VDI's appear higher than normal. I was expecting a lot of those pennies to be dimes, but never found one?
