Just a thought, Why don't we have Harvard outside ? as in case of a cache miss the data or instruction fetch can be done simultaneously we also have to considereal that memory is significantly cheaper today so even with division it should be sufficient ( not sure with this point) data bus implementation and maintenance might cost more. Can you also suggest some good books on comp arch
