actually i think some koreans drink a lot... really depends on the individual like here in the states... :) but they do definitely have a culture of drinking like the irish ~ and tend to get loud and sing etc. when they drink :) it's a very social thing.
He's not ignorant. I just got back from Korea last year. Dog meat is still common and popular in Korea, especially with middle-aged and older men. A lot of young ladies will even take their little yorkies and shi tzus to 보신탕 restaurants with them. It seems to be particularly popular in Jeolla-do. You can find 보신탕 restaurants all over the place there. But you also still find them throughout cities like Seoul and Busan.
Loved your video:) now I'm hungry! btw do you think if would be okay to eat with forks?? I swear I'm trying so hard to use chopsticks but I haven't been able to do so:(
Really good way to present a countery food ask the foraner students what they like they are the one in budget and the young and try every thing. Great job guys Just one request do t put background music it distrub i want to here what people say .
I love Korea, i stayed there for six months, i had a small problem with the food though, it was way too spicy for me.I got used to it, so when i returned to Europe everything tasted so bland.
Maybe, but I'm sure that it's mostly the food that affects the weight. Whenever I'm eating Korean food, I don't get fat. I spend a month in college, I gain like 5 pounds no problem.
lol ikr...I eat everything that is accepted in that country. So in Australia of course I cannot eat dog but in Korea when I do eat dog its just once per visit. I think thoughs who complain and tongue wage are usually extremist vegan or vegetarian or just hypocrites.....
Sadly, I think that dog meat is still pretty widely eaten even among younger people. You're probably right that many younger people in cities don't eat it, but all bets are off as you go into the country side. I was surprised at how many 보신탕 places I saw out in the open the last time I was there. There's one right in the heart of Myeongdong in an alley.
Congratulation, you've officially made me do a quadruple facepalm. Now run along and go play fetch with your doggie. You've trolled enough in a single video. HUEHUEHUE
Easy one , the things that they eat are healthy. Don't you agree after watching this video that there is alot of healthy foods on the table? I don't see hamburgers or fries and deep fried stuff. Just a way of what 'they' are used to eat , or what 'they' and even you choose to eat every day.
Hi there, have you tried out "Reveal Travel Deal" (do a Google search for it)? I have seen quite a few unbelievably cheap hotels and plane tickets. This may help you to save cash on your next getaway also.
This whole debate of eating dog is nonsense. This is a matter of cultural difference point-blank. Whether people in Asia or other countries eat dog due to circumstance or preference it doesn't really matter to me, but what bothers me most is the offensive approach people have when sharing their views about it. You can always walk away from the table without offending someone, if its not for you keep to yourself or grow a pair and educate yourself why someone would eat a dog.
Hey, have you considered "TravElsewhere" (just google it)? I have stumbled upon various unbelievably affordable hotels as well as flights. This may allow you to save money on your next getaway too.
One comment says how is one ignorant if they have seen the markets themselves? Or something along those lines. For you to be asking that question you clearly do not know what the would ignorant means. For one to be ignorant they simply lack acceptance of something and choose to deny it no matter what. All because you have been exposed to the knowledge does not mean you can accept it or choose to.
I loved watching this video, especially the etiquette lessons. The food looks amazing :)
This was actually very informative especially the table manners part I only knew about turning your head when drinking with an elder. Thanks.
This video was so full of funny and friendly people.
I want more videos like this!!!
