a slow start but this week really treated me well :') spring went by so quickly this year so im glad i got to capture this little bit of it for you here in seoul. as i fill out this description box, its rainy and windy and there isnt a single blossom left on the trees. the tulips are popping up though so we have that to look forward to ^_^ see you next week! and sending love always~

Seoul was so incredibly gorgeous during cherry blossom season, but it really felt like I blinked once and it was all withered and dark pink and blinked once again and all the petals had been blown off :')))) so excited for summer though some trees are already full and bright green!

Thank you for this vlog and taking us to see daffodils - it's so dreamlike, I'm a little envious! I can confirm that cherry blossoms this year ARE really weird. What you described is the same in my town - the ones by my building bloomed sometime mid this week, but the ones near my work are already gone. And lilac and camellias are also out, even some wisteria! Ah, spring

Daffodils are my faves, so this was dreamy! We had a very warm winter in Madrid, so my daffodils are already gone, but it was so nice to see them come early this year. Luckily the lilacs are coming! Thanks for another gorgeus vlog. Have a great trip to Paris!

we're having a weird spring as well here in nyc -- we're on "third winter" 😅 and you'll have some trees in full blossom and others just barely budding (I'm in queens). Anyways, a lovely vlog per usual Cari!! I'm living for all this plant/nature content :)

Having been in Seoul once and covered all the major attractions I would be really curious about a travel guide from a local for a 2nd stay, maybe adjusted for the season. Loving your vlogs especially since travel is so tricky right now and am missing wandering a lot

The Cherry blossoms bloom randomly like that because they are alone in the city, If they were in a forest with other trees they would be able to use their root systems to communicate. Trees remember and learn from their mistakes year to year just like humans. That's how they know when to shed their leaves or bloom or retain water for later. In the forests the young trees learn from the older trees and get help by being sent extra water and things like that if needed. So city trees are on their own schedules and bloom at their own random times. I learned all this from "The Hidden Life of Trees" by Peter Wohlleben. It's a great book and with your love of trees I HIGHLY recommend 😊🌸

When I tell you I jumped when you mentioned that lady that owns zzzip guesthouse. I stayed there twice before the pandemic hit and she was the absolute sweetest!!! She recommended I go to a baseball game which never in my life would I have thought this to be fun but it was lit (as she promised) and I had an absolute blast at her and her husbands guesthouse. So funny you met her randomly on the street!!

When I took my driving test years ago, the examiner said I had to hit the brakes hard to stop as quickly as possible. I did as he said, everything shot off the back seat, he turned round, looked & said “ well I won’t ask you do that again”!! Thankfully I passed, as I couldn’t face having to go through that again!😳
