It's strange. Despite all the times I've listened to Megalovania and its absurd number of remixes, this one helped me realize just how similar the contexts are each time these versions of Megalovania play in their respective sources. They all seem to roughly involve a world close to ending, relating to the existence of multiple timelines, and people fighting for control over the situation despite how stretched thin they are. Given that, I think the name "Megalovania" is even more extremely fitting than I thought.

Honestly I view megalovania as "The fight against one who is unredeemable"
I dont think its Vriskas theme, mind you, besides the motif at the end. In Homestuck, it mostly represents Aradias fight against Noir to me.
In Undertale I dont think its the theme of Sans or Chara or the player, its the theme of the fight itself; the fight against _you_ .
In Earthbound Halloween Hack its... yeah its just a fight against a guy I dont think theres much special going on there.
In Smash its cool
@@fgvcosmic6752 In EBHH you entered Andonuts's mind just to kill him, learned his secrets, slowly torturing both him and Varik in the progress. At the very end, Andonuts says he thinks Varik is a maniac who's not a hero and just "kills people for money", begs for his life, and when at the VERY END of his opportunities to save himself, he snaps. Megalovania starts playing as he tries killing the party. But at the end, there is no other way to save yourself. You end this poor man's life, despite the fact he never did anything to you. Varik comes back to Twoson, though he probably ended up with massive trauma.

Okay but sorry no. Banjo was incredibly important to the gaming community. His game revolutionized the 3d platformer and was one of the reasons why the n64 sold well. Undertale has more significance to the current generation, but banjo has more significance to the older generation. Terry is more significant to the Latin American audience

And Chrom and K. Rool are just carried over from Sm4sh. It's not like any Sm4sh Mii Fighter eventually became DLC in those exact games so an Ultimate Mii Costume won't be an Ultimate fighter
