I found out about Pro Tech years ago when I got back into model building, I was floored that there was so much cool stuff Pro Tech offered. And back then you filled out an order form and mailed it with your check. I ordered over $200 worth of parts and I’m still using them to this day! Best part was I called and Charlie actually returned my call and spoke with me like I’d known him for years. Best customer service I’d ever had. Best products I have found. Go Pro Tech …..
New subscriber here. Just found your page today. I have been building models since 1974 and I still enjoy it like it's the first day. Have been watching your videos all day and have learned a great deal. I build racing models from the 60s up to the 90s.
Absolutely love Protech stuff. Charlie makes great products. I've been using his stuff for a couple years now. The 41 Chevy pickup has his gorgeous air cleaners, and braided line. The Hakosuka i'm working on now uses his braided line. I've always used his photo etched bolts for everything from oil pan drain plugs to license plate bolts, and He just sent me some really cool stuff for my upcoming Chevelle build. We talked for a bit and it was just non stop cool tips on all sorts of stuff. Really knowledgeable guy and great products. His air cleaners are incredible.
Charlie has the best braided hose/line out there! I've compared it to my 1:1 earl's and Russel brand braided hose and his is spot on! Great video showing his products. If you can't afford the hex fittings for the braided line like me, I use the beadalon crimp tubes sizes 1-4 part # 305B-121 and beadalon crimp beads sizes 0-3 part # 305B-101. I put them on a tooth pick and spray them with duplicolor metalcast blue and red to achieve the anodized look of the 1:1 -an fittings. They look pretty good if you can't afford the machined hex fittings.
You know a company is doing something right, and making great products. When someone overseas raves about them. I bought a few pro tech pre wired distributors years ago, and loved them. When i went back to the store for more a week later. Seems like everyone else did too. None left. lol Awesome products. If I could find them locally. I'd buy a bunch.
The hard part is deciding which model to put the stuff on. Save it for a special one? Put a little on everything? Or the biggest problem, sorting it all out and organizing it. It's bad enough for just cars, but then add in armor or ships or planes, then diorama stuff.. I literally have two of the big plastic totes full of stuff!
Luka, you are the reason I am a Pro Tech dealer today. At my first ever model show, I bought some Pro Tech products from you and expected that I would be able to find it at every show. When a few years passed, and that was not the case, I talked to Charlie, and became a dealer. Been selling it at So Cal and Arizona shows since 2014 now, as well as online. It's all your fault... lol
Huge fan of pro tech!!! Their braide line is so easy to work with and his fittings are top of the market. Love Charlie’s stuff and his service is awesome. You need to know how to use it Charlie can tell ya jus give him a call. My latest build has all his braided line on my engine. It is so realistic.
Slightly. After I cut the braided line I dip the ends in 'future" aka pledge revive it/floor care. This seals up the ends of the braid and make sure it won't fray.
It does fray a bit when you cut it. The way I have handled this is to slide a fitting over the line first and slide it up a bit. I then cut the braided line and glue it in place. When I glue it in place I put a tiny bit of glue on the outside edge and slide the fitting back over it so the fitting holds everything in place. I've used electrical ferrules and cut fittings from them before.
Really cool stuff, some things there I hadn’t seen before. I was excited to see an update on the 40 Ford better get working on that gotta be done by Jan.
That was awesome! Great stuff. I saw size reference. That is great. Do you know where I can get size reference for tires, late 60’s size 50’s, 60’s, 70’s . Can you help?
@@TheLukaCeeChannel I just thought that for someone who may not have easy access to braided line, smaller gauge, wound guitar strings might be an option. Then again...who says they would have easy access to guitar strings? ;)

Looks great, but what about ends/couplers for the braided line?
Charlie offers a great line of fitting as well!
those nuts might work for the end fittings?
@@MarkBatsonHobbydude007 OK, I'll go check it out. Thanks!
@@SPSteve Compare to what you see in 1:1 pictures.
Yessir!! thank you for this, I have been looking for just this very thing. Glad to know there's someone that keeps this up!

Yep. If it's the San Diego show. That was my last show. The engine of my car blew up on the way home and took me out of business.
@@TheLukaCeeChannel That was the one!

Does The Braided Line Fray or Hold Intact After Cutting it ?? Thanks For Sharing LC n God Bless.

Try just Googling it. Thst is what I do when I need references like that. GOOGLE is your friend.
I bought a bunch of this stuff after watching this video. I also got a bunch of fittings from Jim Rogers.
Will have to pick some of this stuff up!
BTW I found a Longshot Monza for only $39.00
Pro Tech is the way to go!!!!!!
Reminds me I need to place a order for some more braided line
Clay Kemp done a video on the spark plug wires from Pro Tech
Awesome stuff
Now we need to have Shaboo come back with the tire decals!!!!!
Noob Question: Is there any video on youtube explaining how to detail NASCAR engines? I'm a tank modeller and recently got into doing NASCAR models.
It would also work on 1/48 aircraft, and the 1/24-1/25 Allison aircraft engine. Don't forget the 1/25 MPC "Miss Budweiser" Hydroplane race boat.
Yes it would.
Do you ever build Tamiya models?
Very nice!
Smaller gauge braided line = guitar strings?
I prefer using actual braided line for braided line. But that is just my opinion.
