He deal absurd ammount of Single Target DMG. But his main problem is that he needs to be stay on the field for more than 10s while this game meta is actually quick swap animation cancel team.
My crappy build Linyang can clear lv 80 content easy, but for now, i cant clear lv 90-100 with him.
With better Weapon (5 star std gauntlet) and better sub dps (maybe Yinlin), he absolutely can do it.
When you refer to "new passive" is it something related to CBT? because I thought this passive was always there '-'

Yep. It’s so fun to use❤. But to enjoy the full benefit, you have to use his skill after the second basic attack while you are in the air. His first and second basic attack while he’s in the air lasts for 3 seconds so you can use your skill right after that. Ehh? CN players did good research on him throughout the CBT, his dmg is behind all the Meta DPS units by a quite margin. You just can't deny he is the worst 5s DPS unit in the game right now. And maybe in the future if Kuro made better units to keep the game alive.
@@NOOB95 a character isn't defined only by their damage (which he does more than enough). Unless someone actually leveled a character and properly geared them up they aren't qualified to give their opinion. Plus didn't 90% of the idiots also say that the chick who uses the gauntlets was also trash in CBT (which clearly they were also wrong about).
@@timgravelle3253 But in this case, his job is dealing as much dmg as possible but the others do more (his skill has 0 support)? Assuming same echo quality, best support scenario. People did research on this already. And the conclusion is clear as he is always rated low in all tier lists, dmg chart, characters sheet.

Tier list have always been trash and always will be. But people are sheep and they need to be told who to play so they pretend Tier lists matter. There are 2 types of DPS, those who can beat the games content and those who can't. Lingyang falls in the those who can.

@@kamitik7283 when you go to your chatacter profile, let say, mortefi, under his echo, click heron and under his picture you will see a skill description. Right under this skill description, you will see the „sonata effect“ text and right next to this there is a small „book“ icon that you can click on. This is the mobile version im not sure as to whether this icon exist there on PC or somewhere else

I think the cap for crit rate without weapon is 72 with max roll in every single echo wich is insane and not realistic, crit weapons will be more important in the future than characters if they don't fix that issue

I think it’s because echoes don’t pause your ult duration, so you’re essentially wasting your ult duration by doing smt that has nothing to do with his ult state

@@funplayer05.1 Lion's vigor buff is 14 seconds. exact time you need to slam 3 times with lampy then finish your striding. Now I'm confused if I should still buff the lampy smash or my ult burst with lampy.

I've been fiddling around with Swap Cancel tech and here's some cool tips to pump out more damage as Lingyang.
- If you have concerto, you can do ANY attack then instantly swap to a different character then spam the button to swap back to lingyang. The time slow given by the Concerto effect will practically let your swap cd go off cooldown while Lingyang is frozen in his last animation (you can do this with any character) Which results in you still being in the air and being able to continue the attack string after swapping back.
- There are 2 basic attack animations for lingyang while in the air, the first one is kinda long dealing multiple kicks, the second one is kinda fast only doing two kicks IIRC... It's a bit risky but you can Swap right after you press the button for the long animation, and once you get back to lingyang he'll still be in the air, this is harder to pull off consistently but definitely possible.
Lingyang's raw DPS may be lacking compared to other 5 Stars but I honestly think that he's more versatile with Swap combos since his field time can be short or long depending on your preference.
This is possible but will be really really hard especially when you have him lv 70 since you want to use Skill immediately after basic atk in the air

I dont know for sure since his ult gives 50% glacio dmg bonus
