- 'Angry!' Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reaction to Frogmore Cottage eviction | Palace Confidential. You could almost feel the Sussexes’ fury at being evicted from their Frogmore Cottage from across the Atlantic. As reports of the King’s actions appeared, Buckingham Palace refused to comment saying that it was a ‘private family matter’. Speaking on our Royal talk show Palace Confidential, The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English points out that this wasn’t the approach taken by the Sussexes’ camp. ‘The minute America woke up, bang! The Sussexes’ spokesman went on the record to confirm that it was true,’ she says. ‘I think what it does show us how angry they are about it and how shocked they were that it happened.’ The move has ‘really put the cat among the pigeons’ in royal circles and puts the pair’s appearance at May’s Coronation into further doubt.
‘They’re not being offered any other property,’ she adds. ‘It really is as brutal as “clear your stuff out and get out”. Richard Eden, The Daily Mail’s Diary Editor has little sympathy for the pair.
‘What on earth did they expect?’ he tells the show. ‘If I started writing a book on how dreadful my family were and then doing a TV programme, stretched over weeks, insulting them day after day, I would expect some sort of reaction.’

When Harry said his home is now in California, this was set this in motion. Why would Charles renew the lease when H has made it clear he doesn't intend to live at Frogmore? It should be lived in and the lease should be at the crown's discretion. Its just PR nonsense to call it cruel. Its a natural thing to not renew the lease.

All Prince Harry did was tell the truth
As an American, Harry and Meghan were never high on my list of royals. I am a royal watcher. I got up at 4 am to see Princess Diana and Prince Charles get married as well as Prince William and Princess Catherine get married. I even got up for Harry and Megan wedding and I watched and cried all day for the Queen’s funeral. I watched every jubilee but I will never watch a thing those two ever put on or write. Love your show and I will be getting up early for the coronation
A lot of Americans are fans of our Royal Family, but I’m afraid,at the end of the day,they serve the people of the U.K. and the other Commonwealth Realms and support from their citizens is what actually matters.
I am sure you will enjoy the pageantry and the costumes as before God in the Abbey King Charles gives his solemn oath. Queen Camilla will also be crowned as his consort although that word will be dropped from her title. I watched the late Queen's Coronation on an 8 inch TV screen which belonged to our next door but one neighbour and was the only television in our street. Britain was still struggling to recover from WWII and the Coronation with a young and beautiful Queen was magical.

As an American, Harry and Meghan were the only members of the Royal family that made sense. The Queen had been forever Queen forever, so she was acceptable, but the whole idea of a monarchy was antiquated. The class driven society in UK is a joke in 2023. I am not a Royal watcher. Not a particularly attractive roup of people. Did you guys know Princess Anne dated Camilla’s husband after he and Camilla divorced. I know it is very odd. I wondered if he and had dated before he married Camilla. Earlier this year, there was a man in Australia who claimed he was the illegitimate son of Camilla and Charles. He says his mum was the nurse in delivering him and it was arranged for her to keep him and move to Australia. Then I see another article about Princess Anne being at an event and Camilla’s ex is there and they are talking. Now married, Anne’s husband is no where to be seen. I have a conspiracy theory. Charles got Camilla pregnant. She had the baby and they gave it away. The Queen wanted this situation between Camilla and the heir Charles to end, So she ask Anne’s boy friend to marry Camilla in case someone learned of the baby, the could day it was their baby. This broke Anne’s heart, but nobody else could be trusted with the secret. So Anne having done nothing was left out in the cold. Her BF married to Camilla. Charles and Camilla had a boy who should in fact be the heir to the throne. Bet its all True!

Quite frankly, it doesn't look like retaliation to me. The Duke and Dutchess of Sussex clearly expressed they were leaving the UK for the US. If any of us visit a country other than the one we reside, we have to sort our accommodations. I can't see why they will be any different. Besides, they were whinging about Frogmore House. 🤔

The most important upside is to give them no reason to be on the Windsor Estate, keep them out of Windsor Castle and away from the Wales'. No one wants an "arch nemesis" (harry's words) living just across the meadow. Harry put a target on the backs of William's family. And if I was William I wouldn't want harry to have access to anywhere within 20 miles of my family.
If they ever decided to come back to visit the family all have plenty of bedrooms for them to use. If they so desired.

Catherine is always such a good sport. Yes she is competitive, especially with William which makes them such a fun couple. Being part of the RF and heir to the throne, has never stopped this couple from living and enjoying life. No matter where you are, life is what you make of it.
The worst thing that can happen to the "Spare Pair" is to ignore them...if only the media would.
That untalented cable TV, bit part, soap actress didn't think Frogmore cottage was luxurious enough for her anyway, Charles III evicted them. So what! She didn't think Kensington Palace was good enough either even though William and Catherine had lived there in the same cottage, with no complaints. She wanted Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle to show her superiority to all the Royals. She started off as an ill mannered nobody and that is the way she will end up. No amount of expensive jewellery and clothes on the
outside will lift the low level of her character inside.
Harry did it to himself. Too bad he didn't appreciate what he had. He obviously did not look at the ramifications of his actions.
Most of us (I assume) do not have several homes for personal use... and they acutally complained about Frogmore Cottage...

IF, and it really is a huge IF, Harry has to act as Councilor of State, he can stay at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle. Also, if they will attend the coronation they still can stay at their "beloved Fogmore Lodge" as they don't have to move out till June.
Harry was asked, in a sit down interview, if he would ever consider returning to the U.K. as a working royal. Harry gave a loud, firm “No”! Therefore, no house for them.
He's consistently showed signs hes never been held to account and had to live with the consequences of his choices. This late in his life, I suspect he will never learn and will still keep feeling like the victim decades from now

Have always loved Prince William. It wS heart breaking to see him walk behind his Mom's casket. It is obvious that Princess Catherine loves him. His children are precious. It is good to see him with his family.
I don't understand why the press keeps reporting H&M's activity in the press. Why take up valuable space on the printed page to report on those two? We could care less what they do or do not do so why bother reporting? It would be the quickest way to shut off their hot water and thirst for publicity!!
Hardly brutal! The Montecito duo has treated family terribly with all of of their interviews, Netflix, THAT book and the attacks on Camilla, William, Catherine. The Harkles have really done nothing for the Monarchy since they left, they left early when they came for the Jubilee, ignored the Queen's invitations to Balmoral, did not sing God Save The King. Remove H from the line of succession, have Parliament remove the titles. They are no longer working for the Royal Family.

Can't believe anyone would describe this as "cruel." Telling the world intimate private information about your family to humiliate and trash them and out of spite, is cruel. They talk about their privacy but they don't honour or respect the rest of the RF's. Catherine is possibly the best thing that's happened to the House of Windsor for a hundred years. Diana was amazing but not really 'of the people' even though everyone loved her. Catherine is genuinely both one of the people, but also totally amazing as PoW. We are lucky to have her.

I think KC making decisions based on being fiscally responsible is appropriate. I don't think he's trying to be cruel, but his actions might be sending a clear message to family members that they can't have their cake and eat it too. The taxpayers should be very happy with how KC is making decisions.

I just watched the lovely montage of Princess Catherine of Wales' sporting moments. What a beautiful and genuine smile she has. It must be wonderful spending time around such an obviously caring and happy person. How can Harry find anything bad to say about her?

Here's the thing: the British Residence allowed Harry and Meghan to avoid US and California Taxes...... Now that's an issue they must face. Somehow, Harry and Meghan didn't listen to their financial people about the ramifications of NOT having that exemption. While I applaud KC for finally drawing a line, my regret is this means there is NO chance they will leave the US anytime soon.

This episode was so refreshing and seems to be what I hope will be the future of reporting about the Royal Family. Hopefully we won’t have to watch & listen to stories about the despicable twosome, Harry & Meghan much longer! Their eviction from Frogmore was necessary and they were quite honestly asking for it! Be careful what you wish for!

Love the montage of Catherine. She exudes happiness and the love of life. In contrast, when Megs smiles, it's too perfect and is completely posed for every available camera. Catherine's smile lights up her face with enjoyment of the people she is meeting and conversing with. Real and friendly as opposed to fake and vacant.

Catherine did nothing to deserve the verbal abuse and bullying she's had from both Harry and Meghan. She had nothing but the best intentions, she did her level best to make it succeed. This is all down to Meghan's extreme jealousy of her, and her conviction that she should be the centre of attention in the RF, and not Catherine. Harry's constant pointing out of how much better Meghan would be at the job (in what universe would that be?) is just pathetic toadying.

I just found out that the four people who can advise and replace the King (I forget what they are called) must have a UK residence, so this move effectively gets Harry off that list.

"Turfed"?they live in America not in the UK,the house sits empty the majority of the time.Charles wants Andrew to downsize so it makes sense for him to move into Frogmore as he cannot afford to live where he is, and I"m sure if Harry ever comes to town on a visit there are other Royal residences for him and Megs to stay at.
