Is there a reason to add the limiter on the last slot of the insert? What difference does it make if you put the limiter in the first slot of the mix console?
He put it in last cuz the slots determine the "Order of effects" your sound goes through. And he wants his limiter to have "the last word" on his song If you put the limiter in the first slot, it won´t affect any plugin you use in the 2nd, 3rd etc. slot. Meaning you could get the perfect loudness level in your slot-1-limiter, but then use a new plugin in slot 2 which will completely "destroy" those levels, which can result in clipping Putting it in the last slot assures that it´s the very last effect your sound goes through, so nothing will alter the loudness level you gain with your limiter´s settings
That plugin at the end is amazing. Especially is the configuration that you showed; it's most of the analysis tools that I use.
Thanks for posting. Great lesson in how to set up the limiter. Didn't realise cubase had 'supervision'...great tool.
Super! thank you!
