You are a beautiful spiritual being. Stan is our pride and joy who has overcome so much it is written in all his songs, you will love the song he wrote and sang for his mum, it’s called Thank you ! And thank you for your loving reaction, Kia Ora hello from Aotearoa, New Zealand
Our Maori Culture is very spiritual, very proud to be Maori from Aotearoa ( New Zealand) you can feel through our performances and being on our Marae’s
The melodic sound in this waiata (song) always makes me cry. I think of my mom as time moves on. Maisey Rika’s voice just adds to a haunting masterpiece. I believe Maisey’s mom is singing the harmonies. Check her out her song reconnect you will love her. ❤
Gracie, I love how you've presented this video ... soo respectful to the song (not interupting all the time) giving great respect to Stan and to Maisie, to the musical background and most importantly ..... to the Culture of Maori. Magnificent song, Magnificent singers, Magnificent musicians.
When he sings this solo it's the soundtrack from movie Stolen. Wait u have to see the movie girl!! U can't help but cry when u hear the song at the end Don't get me wrong the duet so beautiful but him solo is how I heard it 1st.So I remember enjoying the movie right & I remember my mom was just diagnosed w/ demensia. She said to me What if I don't remember u one day.And hearing this song I started thinking of my mom.Made me cry.Thats how I feel about her & this terrible illness. He's from New Zealand & the natives from there from an Indian decent I believe I just know they r the Islanders the original people from New Zealand.Anyways Peace I ❤u girl!! Stay strong , Peace ❤❤
This is one of my favourites songs. Maisey Rika is singing in Te reo Māori (The Māori Language). The final phrase "Kei konei au" can translate to "I am here" or "Here I am", which just adds to the emotion of the song.

te reo maori from aoteatora new zealand kei ko nei au? where r u ? stan wrote this song from someone he loved dearly from suicide ... my interpretation was he will find him in the spiritual realm when its his time. the song connects to people with depression trying to find themselves fighting a battle bring awareness of mental health and that you are the light in the dark once u find yourself and heal !! love and light to all nga mihi x
