I disagree, Eric need to run the ball more to make their job easier. It’s easy to put pressure on a qb and oline if the run game hasn’t been establish. He hardly ran enough.

If Howell can learn to throw the ball away and clean up a few mistakes, the Commanders could look good.... but that offense was sus today. Lots of drops and misses throws too
Nothing annoys me more at the pro level than dropped passes. Those spots are too competitive for a player to suddenly get a case of the yips.

A lot of comments about a long season based on this ONE game! Did you all expect for the offense to play great even after a new OC and a different offensive system? The team will get better hopefully as they keep playing and staying healthy. I do agree that the offense needs to keep working and getting better especially the O-line and the receivers can not be missing those nicely thrown footballs! I’m happy my team won 😊
O-line has new players starting at every position but one, it’s going to take a lil time to gel. I think Howell just needs to learn to get rid of the ball or just go down when there’s nothing there. Once they figure out their offense identity they will be much better it will take a few more games but at the end of the season when every win counts nobody cares about games you win by 20 or lose by 1 win is a win and we’re 1-0.

I was looking at some of the other teams that are expected to do well like Bengals, Giants Seahawks Broncos. It just goes to show some teams 1st game of the season haven't worked out all kinks yet. If this was the Washington of last year we lose that game.

@@brianwhiting3280 Cardinals GM's plan is to build a new team, they made room in cap space and acquired about dozen of draft picks. They let go bunch of key players to do so. The possibility of having 2 of the top 5 picks in first round is likely to happen which would set them up to build a team around that. It helps to do some research.
All Arizona needs is Kyler back healthy. Defense looked solid.

Like Buddy Ryan’s teams in the 90’s the defense will break with and Terrible Offense and this offense is terrible. If I was Kyler I’d start grabbing my leg. Nothing about this offense was special nothing.
We were expected to blow them out. Which is never good for us. We always are getting to full of ourselves. This was humbling. After this game we need to work some kinks out on offense. We didn’t really look complete. But again it’s our first game with this new offense. Les go commander’s

Sloppy game. Oline is a real problem. Sam is young and will make mistakes. Defense came up big but against a bad offensive team. This effort won’t work against anyone else. Gotta be better. Arizona bailed us out with some bad penalties. Good to see some heart at the end.

It was the cardinals chill out lol reality will set in in a Couple weeks
We haven't won more than 10 games in a season since 1991 and we're barely beating tanking teams in 2023. We've winning 7-8-9 games for the past 30 years keeping up in limbo. Last time we won 10 games (11 years ago) we had the second pick because the year before we only won 5 games and had a top great QB. Beating AZ by 4 points at home after all that hoopla this offseason is a disgrace and lets me know we're gonna win around 6-9 games like Vegas originally projected we would.. keeping us in this 30+ year limbo.

Nice hard fought battle for the Redskins
Defense did slightly better than I expected and in the second half really started to take form. Our offense on the other had, in particular the O line, was as compromised as I thought it would be. Howell was rough, but I have the patience for him to make steady improvements. I don't look down on a win in the NFL, but the Skins need lots of work. HTTR and let's get ready for Denver.

It was a sloppy win. The talent was there, but we made too many mistakes. I know it's the first game and Howell isn't fully locked in yet, but we need to tighten up. A win is a win tho. And it felt good to see a packed stadium. That energy was feeling real Redskins-like. Let's keep up the momentum and do better next time. 😌

Offense taken the opportunity given back to them by the defense and scoring on those 2 takeaways to win the game also fantastic. That's a Complete Team Win. People had the cardinals losing by like 20 😂. That defense was incredible, if they had kyler out there and not dobbs this would’ve seriously been a different game. As a cardinals fan this gives me some hope for when kyler comes back, if that defense plays like that that whole season.
Offense usually takes more time to develop so simmer your expectations. Washington has a top tier D and showed it.

I want Marvin Williams Harrison, Jr. He's going to be the next Larry Fitzgerald. I would get him and another offensive lineman, Paris Jr. They will be amazing, and when they get Garret Williams back 100% from his ACL tear, he will be a good pick. I'm not sure I'd be the Heisman Trophy's number one quarterback. I don’t like his attitude, saying he might stay another year and go to a good team. It doesn’t work like that. The number one pick is always going to be the worst team, and if he gets drafted by a good team, he won’t play. I would give Murray another year with Hollywood Brown, Harrison Jr., and another great lineman to cover this team. Their defense looks good, but next week I would start Tune. I'm sure they're doing it to tank badly and wait until Murray gets back. I doubt they will give up on Murray since they paid him so much money.

Hopefully they won't turn the ball over multiple times in scoring position either like today. Several costly mistakes & they still won. If they can clean it up they'll be decent. Washington's defense is loaded, they are one of the best in the NFL. So they can keep most games close. Howell will improve, this is only his second ever start in the NFL. My biggest question mark is the offensive line. If they can shore it up, Washington could surprise a lot of people.

Finally a comment I can agree with. I've followed Josh for a while because my son is a Tennessee Vols fan. I've watched him get moved from team to team. People are always asking why without knowing the details. It's not due to lack of talent. Many people in Cleveland wanted Dobbs to play but the Browns went with Brissett who is reliable. Dobbs get's bounced to the Lions practice squad & then the Titans pick him up with 1 game remaining but they make the playoffs. Again, Dobbs get's picked up by Cleveland & finally he's in Arizona. Some of the unwarranted comments I've seen are ridiculous & uneducated. If there ever was an underdog story, it's Dobbs. I sincerely want him to succeed.

I know you are looking for hope in Cardinals this year but trust me, its a tank season for them. A lot of good things to come for Arizona next year, wouldnt be surprised if AZ goes deep into playoffs next year. Commanders, we may win 6 games this year.
Someone please tell Eric Bienemy that play action is freezes the defense to give your quarterback time to throw the ball. You run the ball to set up the play action. You were running the ball well and moved away after the fumble. Why? Just change backs. Also after a good run instead of play action you just set up to throw. I don’t think I saw a single play action pass. What are you doing? This game should not have been this close. If you need help creating plays link me. I’m a humble nobody engineer that’s great at creating solutions.
