The Left Hand/Pesanta/U-3 is such a great boss in this game. The hallucinations that Ada has throughout the game are very unique for Resident Evil, but still not out of place (because they're chemical/toxin induced hallucinations, rather than any supernatural ones). Shifting the U-3 fight to Separate Ways was also a big gameplay Quality of Life change IMO because in the o.g. RE4, U-3 is basically nothing but a massive ammo sink before Krauser, so having him be a proper boss rather than a -warm-up- resource drain for the real boss is a nice change.
CaptainEzekiel, I know there were some unplanned blunders in the run, but holy crap! you really showed off your RE skills with your mad improv. So impressive, the skills!
12:30, I might have found a faster route in my playthrough. It was hardcore so I'm not sure if it will play out the same but I threw a nade just before started to turn the wheel and it was enough to JUST ABOUT get me through. Since you don't have to aim the x-bow it might turn out slightly faster.
You can just run up and turn the wheel and most of the time the chainsaw lady will swing over your head. They did the crossbow thing for marathon safety because there is a chance she just kills you.
I did something similar with a flash grenade on my second run. Gave me just enough time to slip out without dealing with the chainsaw enemies. Although I think flash grenades may be more precious for the speedrunners.
What's this about the laser corridor being a nod to the RE movie? I know that exists but this laser corridor is 100% from RE4 original, it has the same laser configurations and everything.
I thought everyone was done with this game why did they have it for GDQ also didn't everyone say that Separate Ways sucked including the main campaign?
AGDQ 2024 is live right now! Tune in to watch at www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick
The Couch: Romantic Leon, Ada and Racoon.

Some of those split second parries were INSANE, great run by a great runner! dude knows how to adapt on the fly
Laser room is also from the original RE4
The sick parry 40:26

Love the Tom and Jerry scream at the very start
Definitely loved iggyzig's hosting on this run, plus that singing voice was lovely!
God of parries
I tried beating this on Professional. I ran out of ammo at the El Gigante fight and ended up just getting by with the knife
16:03 Why is he pausing so much? What does that do?
Basically to not miss a shot
By pausing he can stop the game to see if he's got his shot lined up correctly

Why did they make Ada's Boots Blue and not White? It's infuriating!

The scene in OG RE4 is a homage to the movie. The movie came out in 2002, RE4 in 2005
as well, the remake’s final lasers twist to become a checkerboard pattern of lasers iconic to the movie and not seen in re4 og

New Separate Ways is fantastic.
They sure didn't say either of those things
You from a different timeline or something? People love the game.
Literally every runner I watch says SW is very good and obviously better than SWOG. And I agree with them.
You might be thinking of RE3, that was not received well. RE4 is a smashing success.
