Payed Actors. The guided Torpedoes are useless, with the exception of Anti-Sub Warfare. The only discipline where the S-189 excels is shotgunning, and that only effectively against T6 BBs. It’s still a fun sub but I prefer the I-59 as a premium sub.
TBH this is the only time I see subs being a real issue. The whole team ignored it, even after it was spotted early on, and let it sail behind them. this was made worse when you consider there was a CV in play who could have spotted it.
You know why they ignored it? Because they can't spot it, because in order to spot it they have to be in proximity range, and you know why they can't do what? because the sub is very fast and manouverable, and even if he is in danger he just goes to 60m and goes afk for a while until everyone forgets about it, and the circle goes on. This video is a great example on why subs are just as stupid as CVs are.
@@Theokondak they ignored it because like a significant % of the player base they have no awareness of either the battle in front of them or the minimap. The issue really isn't the class of ship but the ability of the average player. They do the same thing in every battle and anything that makes them think is seen as broken and sees them whining in the forums.
@@wildgooseman7047 You could say that for just about any ship though. This game is balanced on player averages. If the average player, however potato they may be, is struggling to fight it, then it's the ship. Also worth mentioning the potato player problem is War gaming's own problem, for failing to retain their player base by operating an open door and exit strategy.
@@wildgooseman7047 Even if they were aware of it, how would they be able to detect him at any point? The only thing they can do is wait for him to surface, and even then he has insane concealment surpassing that of destroyers. Hydroacoustics don't work either because it only detects submarines within like 2 km. Without knowing his exact location, he is too unpredictable and difficult to combat.
why did he only use the target lock on the torpedoes against the other sub? He could have nuked that nagato/fuso whatever it was towards the end, as well as that final battleship.
@@fiat_lux6300 Man, great game. Learned a lot about patience while playing a sub. I worry about the short homing torp range though for sub vs sub fights.
No wonder this boat is nasty in the right hands... the Whiskys have many elements derived from the Type XXI U-boats. The only thing that made it inferior to its rivals in the West is the build and materiel quality (inferior electronics, especially sonar was a problem in its time in service).
? What are all these ships doing for the first 2/3 of the game? They all seem to sail around aimlessly or park at islands waiting to be torped. Like the whole game was loaded with players who are there to show off the sub. Very uncommon and uncharacteristic ship behavior. Results would not transfer to most matches I’ve seen.

Once a cv was so angry for destroying him that he continued flying over my sub for 2 minutes. I underestimated cv vengeance.
Well balanced
And so realistic!

Класс прям пособие как надо вырезать тех кто прячется за скалами😂
Farming AFK ships seems to be even more boring than normal sub gameplay. Why are there so many afk on both sides btw?
Been that way for years. I've never understood it...
All I see is a sub sinking potatoes that haven’t moved since the game started. I’m not impressed by this replay.

Because if I shot a ping while there were a lot of battleships around, I could get hit by an anti-submarine bomb and die.
@@fiat_lux6300 Fair point. Ya did a heck of a job despite not using it. Satisfying to watch the carrier eat a 4 piece torpedo combo.
Because he was a terrible player that's plain and simple
Because the Soviet subs have terrible sonar torps, their unguided ones are their strength.

the soviet submarines are in the news, good job WOWS 🤔
Is this sub the Whisky-class submarine?
on wikipedia it says S-189; whiskey class museum ship in Saint Petersburg

Vodka driven...
2 afk players? Paid actors!
Wait till i get my Surcouf. RIP wg russian fantasy subs.

I can't stand the speed of those things wtf, it looks like a cigar boat.
Wait until you get French subs that will do 50knots and have torpedo reload booster and a button to detonate every enemy ship in 5km distance
What a shitshow that submarine gameplay, delete them out of the game please.
What a boring as hell game play!
There is nothing more boring to watch than a sub replay xD toxic for the game...
