Head gaurd has string slicer on it to shear off the excessive string length when the head starts spinning.

Good job getting it going and finding it. I usually just skip the 2 cycle stuff . At most I have ever sold one was for 70 I think and that was a RedMax I fixed up with a Amazon carburetor

Excess line will also cause the clutch disc to overheat. With the pull start mechanism so close to the pull start, it can melt components in the pull start. Ask me how I know!😅

Seems like the string is too long reducing rpms.

Interesting video Henry. You certainly have a lot of equipment. I noticed that as you showed off your stock that EVERY spot of your lawn is trimmed low! You must spend a lot of time trimming and moving your tractors away from the house in order to get to all the corners. Is that true??

I weed wack first along the perimeter, I don’t move any tractors. The key is edging and trimming before I mow.

@@MowersNBlowers I commend you on your trimming Henry. Your yard is very well manicured. 👍

Ya think? I think it looks terrible! In the spring g it’s nice because the grass is nice and green, right now it’s scorched

@@MowersNBlowers Well, usually when youtube mower people show their yards, there are weeds and tall grass all over the place. Lots of mice nests too. In contrast you are very neat! 🙂

@Shorty4808 really? I’ve seen other RUclipsrs dealing with lawn care and they’re in golf course condition, mine is far from that

Th strings are too long, putting too much strain on the motor

Nice find! Like you said the line is too long. I wonder if you trimmed the line down, the head would spin faster. Making weed whacking better. Thanks for your videos!

I think your sting is too long on the weedeater. That's why is sounds like it does. Like it has no power
