OMG!! Was listening to homesteading channels while doing housework when this came up. I stopped doing housework. Rosepath is something I am trying to explore. This montage showed so many possibilities. Thank you for taking your work from the BLOG to you tube.
Hello dear sister, Nancy. Yes, I am weaving again. I had not been able to do so for quite a while. I'm very happy to be back at it. I am happy you checked in with me. Hugs. Jill
@@karenisenhower9886 Karen, do you just follow traditional Rosepath patterns, like in the Davidson green book to get these designs? Are they any different weaving them for rug weaving? Are you just interspersing plain weave in between the bouts of Rosepath patterning?
@@KnittingsAndSewings Chelle, I learned rosepath rag rug weaving from Swedish weaving books. The Davidson book does have traditional Rosepath patterns, but I'm used to Swedish weaving drafts. Most of my rosepath rag rugs use tabby in the rosepath design, and have sections woven in plain weave. I have done some rosepath rag rugs without tabby, and with no plain weave. It's all a matter of design and preferences. I have a few rag rug pointers on my website, if you're interested. warpedforgood.com/rag-rug-tips/
@@karenisenhower9886 One more question - I just downloaded your article in the March/April 2017 HW magazine. I have a Schacht Standard older loom but it is still a jack loom. My question is, the way that the draft is written in your article for jack style, or should I reverse it since yours is Swedish style?
I love rosepath from the Davison book.
