All previous PM communicate well with Johor, Sabah & Sarawak in matters related to Anglo Johor Treaty 1885 & MA63 for Sabah & Sarawak. Some said that Anglo Johor Treaty 1885 is no longer valid but Tun M failure to dissolve JMF (one of the clause in the treaty) is proof that the treaty is still valid. Anglo Johor Treaty 1885 is official recognition by Queen Victoria/Empire of Great Britain that Johor is a free & sovereign state. MA63 is clearly have a different set of condition, Sabah & Sarawak are partners of Malaya not one of the state in Malaysia. I'm no expert in federal consti but it quite clear that this 3 states are different. While together with other malay state that sought independence by forming federation of malaya 1948, the status of Johor at that time was already free & sovereign.
There's a very significant facts behind. Don't simply diss.

Johore was persuaded to join Malaya. But it gains a lot as to Selangor. The oil money Malaysia got was pumped into these two states mostly. Now Johore is rich, it started complaining a lot.
I strongly recommend the history of Malaya and Johor be closely looked at, by those who have not, before falling victim to ignorance concluding HRH Tungku Ismail's statements lack validity.

MacMichael Agreement was signed in 1945 between then Regent of Johor and Harold MacMichael, where the King is only involved in Islam & Adat Istiadat Raja only & Not in any administrative capacity. Is that the the agreement you're talking about?
History can easily be manipulated to Suit..

walaupun kes 1894 (lama) menyatakan Johor adalah state yang unik, tapi Johor telah masuk Perjanjian Federal pada tahun 1948 (baru), Johor sudah jadi samarata dengan negeri lain.
