#2 is one of the best and most intense performance made by Will Smith, imposible not to get him seriously in that one
Jose Piña From what I have heard, he ad-lib that part. The only thing the guy that was playing uncle Phil could do was just just hold him at the end.

That wasn't a performance. It wasn't even ad-lib. Will Smith just broke down on set, but they still kept it in.

Should have moved #2 to #1...that scene was partially improvised and was arguably one of the most powerful scenes of the series for that reason. I can see wanting to top of the list with a funny scene though.

What season and episode?
Yea that episode was a little confusing to me. I thought Carlton was looking for trouble. That's why the tone began so serious. And why Will ask for the gun. However I couldn't tell if the show was saying it was bad for Carlton to have a gun or if he was looking for trouble with a gun. I like to think the former because I believed in a right to bare arms to protect youself.
the insurance This is late but Carlton was going to look for Wills shooter and kill him. And Will is from philly and we got too much of that going on in the world and he didn’t want his cousin to go down that road
I just laughed and cried my ASS off!! And I do mean this is one of the rare times actual tears have fallen... heart-touched and hilarity all in 10 beautiful minutes! Why life why can't TV be like this again? ...Absolutely priceless! That first one, Carlton and those last two, GOLD among all that television ever made! *Ever!*

Will Smith Nah as far as overall moments go, James looking legitimately afraid for his life at a spazzy Will was the best ever.
We'll miss James Avery. Enjoy the after life and the next.

Not sure how true it is but he scene with wills dad was only scripted to a point he was just supposed to leave it, the ends parts of it were real apparently that's wasn't a hug between 2 characters that was comfort between friends
It was scripted, Will is just that damned good at acting! His dad was there for him and always active.

#2 was probably the most powerful where Will sees his dad again. It brought tears to my eyes then. It still brings tears to my eyes no. One of the best scenes in Fresh Prince.

Was hoping it would all be funny moments but #2 despite not being funny, it definitely deserves it's placement. I remember that was the first time I ever actually had tears run down my face from watching a show.

I've seen Will's father leave him a hundred times. No matter how many times i see it, I tear up. Just shows you how powerful and how amazing of an actor Will Smith is.
Hate to break it too, people thinks that Will's real life dad left him in real life but in reality Will's dad never left him which makes that episode more fake.

Everytime i see #2. it makes me cry after knowing how it feels to be abandon by your own father, but one thing i also learned is that i got my family that can always be there for me without the father that left me and my family

Number 2 almost always gets to me, I can relate, my pops was never really around until my early 20s and even now I barely hear from him.
I remember walking into my house one day and hearing my mother on the phone, I had this feeling or a knowing that he was on the other end of that phone call, sure enough my mother called for me to come "someone" on the phone want to talk to me and it was him, He ended up asking for forgiveness and whatnot.
i cried when place 2 came...every single time i had seen this part of it.... damn good acting!

Nothing gives me more goosebumps than #2.. I couldn't believe the script was just meant for him to walk away and he chose that moment to do one of the best moments of acting I've ever seen. That's just him improvising? Damn.
