- These models won't be in the final game. This is just a test of the md3 rendering, and it's working pretty well except for some broken animations.

This is honestly terrifying and really interesting to see. I wonder if these textures still exist somewhere in the game files of some obscure version of Minecraft or, heck, even on notch’s PC
They are actually models from Quake 3 Arena which were just ported to Minecraft in order to test the game's new MD3 support.
I mean they are just quake 3 characters I belive

This is really creepy to me for some reason. Just the enemies chasing after the player, and never stopping while there is no music, with messed up animations gives me the chills.

@@epicstrawberry8486 Well aside from me being a huge fan of Quake 3, I remember that one time there was a legal dispute between Mojang and Bethesda, and Notch suggested they settle it with a game of Quake 3, I think Notch really loves this game too.

@@THExRISER That was between Notch and Team Avolition I believe, one of their members had a brother who was selling pirated versions of Minecraft so Notch (along with Jeb I think) had a Quake match with them to settle the dispute (though they would've stopped pirating the game even if they won)

those characters are NPCs from the multiplayer test,after these NPCs being deleted,the MOJANG put others NPCs,like steve and alex,but with a cartoon stile,like the characters in MineBlock,after this NPCs being deleted too,MOJANG decided to put only Animals and mobs

If you're familiar with RubyDung, it's a precursor to Minecraft that used rounder 3D generation. Notch was playing around with the graphics, and then the early stages of Minecraft took place. MY theory? These mobs are leftovers from RubyDung that Notch wanted to simulate in a Minecraft world

@@kirbythekirb59 maybe hackers just hacked notchs computer or maybe modified some game files resulting on corruptions or maybe more. i think someone like the hackers did some modifications on the models like pig,sheep,cow,zombie and spiders.way crazier than my old theory or maybe theres something weird conected to Rubydong or maybe the models are just zombie or spider or the most crazy theory i can think of are of the models are actual cultists
