Live: Nifty Hits New High But Fails To Conquer 23,500; M&M, Ambuja In Focus| Closing Bell

The Nifty reached a new all-time high of 23,490, and the Sensex closed above 77,000 for the first time. Midcaps outperformed, with the NSE advance-decline ratio nearly 3:2. India VIX dropped another 5%, signaling lower volatility. Realty, autos, and metals sectors led gains, while IT and media sectors lagged. Top Nifty gainers included Eicher, M&M, Adani Ports, Titan, SBI Life, and Cipla, while TCS, Tech Mah, Wipro, HCL, UPL, Kotak Bank, and SBI were the main losers. In the Nifty 500, BEML, Mazagon Dock, SKF India, JK Paper, and KRBL topped gains, while Usha Martin, Zensar Tech, Redington, and Avanti Feeds led the losses.
