That’s going to be a beautiful hope chest when it’s completed. I’m on the fence regarding her initials as an inlay-it will essentially come down to the size, placement and font. I’m also struggling to envision the color contrast of cherry on maple-while it will be subtle, will be to subtle? Either way, his daughter will love this gift and hopefully be passed down for many generations.

I like the idea of an inlay, but I don't know that I have the confidence to tackle that myself! I also like the idea of shop updates.
