Just wow, this leaves me speechless. So much tormented melancholy in the music and the lyrics. Sometimes reminds me of Advent Sorrow, which is a band I adore. Gives me the same feelings.

Yeah, so. I've listened to a lot of stuff from every conceivable genre. I've studied, played and worked in the field of music for many years. I'm not easily amused, let's say. And this is one of the best albums I've heard in my entire life.

You have this incredible building of tension reminiscent of classical works of music, and while it's a comparatively simple structure (as per the genre in general I guess), you have this very competent interplay between harmonies such that he gets away perfectly with his liberal use of the major key. But the vocals are totally brilliant as well, and the mix manages this excellent balance between polished and primitive.
What's the name of the painting on cover? Based on previous album artworks this also must be some real life painting. In case of "Sorg" it was "The Death of Chatterton" by Henry Wallis and Hans Andersen Brendekilde's "Worn Out" was on "Ofte jeg drømmer mig død", so what's now? p.s. Afsky never disappoints. Brilliant album as always.
