I have not been involved on any farm since 1965 and this makes so much more sense than the way farming was done then. The advancements in technology that make this all possible were not even dreamt of back then. In the next 55 years I am sure this will seem archaic but right now it is amazing.
BTP - you keep rockin' it with the farm vids. I enjoy your explanation not only of the tractors but the equipment and how and why it's used the way it is.
I liked the video. I learned a few different things on how this farm runs with the 8RX 370, the two 8360RT's, and more. Awesome video man. I really enjoyed.
Man all that equipment set up for that traffic pattern is a huge investment in that system !!!! That shows alot of faith and dedication to the practice !! Great video !!!
Excellent video -- one of your best considering the variety of things you show, from cover crops to strip till to controlled traffic, from seedbed prep to planting to harvest. Cool machines, great footage. I love it. Not many folks here in the U.S. do controlled traffic farming. It seems like it requires sizable fields for long and mostly straight runs without lots of turning around. Neat concept, but not exactly easy to put into practice in all applications.
What a wonderful video, i have learnt a lot from this video mainly the use of GPS, sir i am still waitting for you to do a video on rice harvesting, as usual thanks a lot and remain blessed.
Question!: Could the farm limit the deep strip till to the few rows where the tracks travelled, instead of all the rows? The way I understand it those should not have experienced compaction.
Neat farm. Wonder why they went with pull type planters over 3pt. Mounted with ccs. Would think a mounted planter would follow the strips more precise.
There are not any 3pt planters to speak of here. I know one farm with a DB90 and DB60 that have a 12 row 3pt for planting wet spots. That’s the only 3pt I know of. The resale on 1795 is good as it’s a popular planter in the area.
@@Cenlafarmtoys Where do you live? How big (how many rows/how wide actual width) are these mounted planters you're speaking of? It seems like beyond maybe 16 rows/30inch spacing that they'd become extremely heavy and cumbersome.
@@captaindee6130 I live in east central Louisiana. Most the farmers here run 8 or 12 row 38" spaced planters. There are a few 16 row 30" as well, and some custom stackfold planters designed to plant cover crop soybeans on sugarcane rows in cane fields that are in replant years. They are usually set up to plant 3 to 4 narrow rows of soybeans on each of five sugarcane rows which are spaced 72" to 76" apart.
Never underestimate double crop soybeans. It’s a big part of the farm economy in WKY. Half the ground here yields wheat and soybeans in the same year. The other half is just corn. So if you farm 2,000 acres you harvest 3,000 acres per year.

Very interesting video. I learned about "traffic control and more about how ""cover crops" are utilized in farming. Great work!
Great explanation of modern farming techniques.

Very cool video I didn’t know about traffic control but it seems like a great idea👍🏻
Excellent video, nice machines featured & great commentary!!

Awesome Video!!
Right to repair!
What are those yellow tanks between the tracks for. Extra weight, fertilizer, fuel?
Fertilizer
Did they do any harvest of the rye cover crop? Or was it solely for the purpose of preventing erosion and adding organic matter to the soil?
Question!: Could the farm limit the deep strip till to the few rows where the tracks travelled, instead of all the rows? The way I understand it those should not have experienced compaction.
Hi BTP is the rye a regular grain producer or a special variety for cover crop ?
What is the %% of harvest improvement using this method? And cost impact? Great video. Very cool process.

@@bigtractorpower over here it is just the opposite all 3pt. Mounted planters and only a couple pull types.

I was noticing the hoses on the striptill bar this for putting in ammonia as well.?
They are used for putting out dry fertilizer like potash in the fall from a cart pulled behind the bar.
I like your videos I also watch borderview and Larson farms videos.
Big money

@@bigtractorpower Yessir.👍🤠
What's with the bonnet ? It looks like JD just pulled it off a front wheel assist model and couldn't be bothered filling in the holes .
Can the combine auger reach far enough to dump on a cart that's on the 40' pass?
we have a 45 ft header for our combine for beans reaches quite well
Our corn head is 40 and needs to be bigger the class lexion eats grain like you cannot imagine
Nice Videos
Where can I find a schedule and location for farm display shows? Or how do you find them, I can’t find anywhere
Probably won't be having any shows for a while...
What’s the cover crop he’s strip tilling into?
Rye. I talk about it mid way through the video where it is being seeded by an 1890 drill.
bigtractorpower interesting never seen it that short must of caught it before in really greened up.
Hello
How did they get an 8RX last year? lol
They had a chance to run an 8RX370 for tillage. One of the very first 8RXs were delivered to my local dealer two days after their launch.
They can afford all the equipment but can’t buy a few sheets of tin to save the building?
No full bio-hazard suit?!??? 😱
