I have a Siberian Cat with fur like this, but she hates being brushed and only lets me brush her before she eats when she is in her best mood.. I brush her twice a day with a flat rectangular comb. I brush her for about a minute, but then she starts slashing and I have to stop. Her neck ruff sheds the most. She doesn't get hairballs though. She is really feisty.
U r one lucky woman!!! Sasha enjoys brushing... My maincoon... Tt is her name... Does not like it at all evn when the brushes are near her... 😂😂😂 We have got 4 types of brushes for her.. But all just sits there in one corner of her box.. 😂😂... Shes our darling... N we love her tantrums so much... 😊😊😊

Just start with a touch of the brush, literally nothing more, just to get it used to it. Slowly progress day after day. Eventually it will like!
