Allot of intelligence, a genius actually by writing lyrics and music at such a young age. And I can tell you he is not stuck up in any way, and did not let fame get to his head. My Aunt Evelyn had been to an orchestra/opera and dressed in a ball gown with her date and after went to The Peabody in Memphis. Billy had a concert there in Memphis too and stayed at The Peabody he came down stairs and sat across from them on a couch. Introduced himself and talked to them. How cool is that!!
The more interviews I watch of him the kinder and more intelligent he becomes. I saw him perform the other night and he impressed the hell out of me. I love punk and his description of it in this video is perfection.

Agree with You. Punkbands in Germany dissolved or developed like Mufti from Abwaerts founded " EinstuerZende Neubauten ", La Loora disappeared, "Toten Hosen" survived quite well, my brother emptied some beerboxes in garage gigs with them :), violence not that I know of.🙏🏽

He had no clue what happened on the streets back then. Bands like the Upstarts,Sham sang about that. Police Brutality,Racism,Unemploiment,etc. Sitting in NY and taking jet set drugs has nothing to do with Punk. Sham 69 split up because of violence and Boneheads at their gigs.

They were associated with a lot of violence at their shows from their fans, including fascist skinheads and soccer hooligans. An anti-Asian riot broke out after one of their shows. Sham 69 made some moves to oppose that but they were really sending mixed messages.

Anyway I agree with what he says about senseless violence but if that violence is directed in a proper way at the authorities, govt, etc that are holding people down, I see no problem in that.
