I’ve seen this watch in the flesh and it’s stunning. The haters buy other popular watches because they follow the crowd. They’re normally as dull as the watches they buy.
I think the objective reality is somewhere in the middle. There are reasons to hate Hublot (watches with third-party movements that don’t justify the price) and there are reasons to love Hublot (the innovative use of materials and some of their higher end in house movements are quite well done). Most of the watches aren’t my personal style but that doesn’t mean I completely crap on the brand either. It’s annoying that many people blindly form their opinion based on certain RUclipsrs or so they sound like they’re “in the know.” At the end of the day, it’s okay to like a watch even if others hate it. Conversely, it’s okay not to like it as well, but we can acknowledge both the good and bad. It’s not one or the other.
Far too many people are not actively open minded. Congrats for being one of the few. Big Bang in gold is one of my favourites that I used to own. Absolutely gorgeous to me and wears so comfortably. Crazy wrist presence.
I was dying laughing at the "blur of shame". I actually really like the design language of that watch and the fact that they use an El Primero movement. I do have a hard time with that price point for a Hublot. I would definitely be looking for this one on the gray market at a significant 40% discount or something like that if I wanted one. Great review as always Bruce! Thanks!
when smn says "that's easy" ppl usually want to verify it to agree. when u say Hublot is shit, we wanna verify that u've at least bought n given it a try on ur skin as a user. otherwise, it is natural that ppl disagree with smn who hasnt had a proper experience
Its only the Nico fan girls that shit on hublot. Decent watches, especially if you like the design. Also very innovative with materials and also movements (big bang etc., not the classic fusion range) Overpriced... Sure, name me a luxury brand that isnt. I own a classic fusion, simply because i like the design and it brings me joy to wear.
I don’t get the hate for Hublot honestly. I understand that people don’t like that they sell watches with Sellita movements for a ton of money, but EVERYONE was doing this up until a decade ago. Nobody was really doing in-house until recently. And plenty of brands still do that. And no Hublot is making pretty crazy in-house movement, making full ceramic or sapphire cases/bracelets. They were the first to do ceramic, sapphire, and rubber straps on a luxury watch. Now these things are commonplace of luxury sports watches. Hublot is not for me, but I respect them as a watchmaker. And all the hate they get makes me want to get one, just because I’m a contrarian and I wanna piss off “enthusiasts”
The hublot critics fall into 2 camps. 1- those who don't understand how screws work. If you hate unaligned screws so much I better see you comment on every youtube video where a screw down crown doesn't point the brand logo straight up when viewing from the side, or how about screwed links on a bracelet not all aligned? Or what about screws on plates inside the movement? on the winding rotor pivot? And 2- people that mistakenly think there is a value proposition in any luxury product. Like rolex doesn't pump out 2 million + watches a year for a manufacturing cost of maybe a few hundred bucks each? Get over yourselves.
Hmm, i never understood that misaligned crown. I have a Swiss made Invicta and the crown logo is perfectly aligned. Why couldnt the other more expensive watch brands accomplish this?
I don't have any particular hate for the brand but simply find their designs unappealingly garish and the few that are tolerable don't really rise to any consideration for purchase or ownership. That being said, more power to anyone that wants to rock them.
Tied this on when skiing in Swaziland and man it is a keeper absolutely stunning on and off the wrist. It’s just price point but you can pick one up on crono for lot cheaper
Love hublot watches. So much variety and innovation. Makes them even better for me as they're hated be the general watch guy. Im not afraid to stand out and certainly don't want to be the same as everyone else.
Hublot are nice watches, there a few small quality things they could clean up but I love their watches, some people only hate because that one watch RUclipsr Nico hates on them so much
Bruce, for some reason, you very rarely show up in my feed anymore. Not sure why. Other watch RUclipsrs do... I'm a big fan of yours and I am subscribed...
Hublot just carries a decades old reputation that traditionalists echo as a crutch to pantomime sophistication. They don't need to be for everyone to have their place. Buying a Hublot as an enthusiast is a statement by itself because of the pitchforks. The hate is likely helping their business.
I own a hublot, i really enjoy it, but my pet peeve with hublot is how their bezel screws are not organised, they're just pointing randomly, and if I'm paying so much money for a watch, it shouldn't trigger my OCD.
Hublot would do itself a huge favor if they used in-house movements. They charge too much for ETA based watches. Outside of that, who cares what anyone thinks? If you like Hublot, rock it. My problem with this watch specially is that it looks like the ultimate douche bag badge of honor (i.e Richard Mille). Not sure why any brand would want to look like an RM
Love your hair. Can't get on board with Hublot or RM. Like Rolex for many, these brands have a conotation I do not dig. Not classy. New money Celebs and show offs. Omg. ... I'm sorry.. i cant stand em!😂
Hublot do make okay watches but they are insanely expensive. The only people that buy them have more money than sense and who want to tell the world how rich you are. Like Rolex owners but with less taste. If you spend nearly $25k on that Hublot watch you are a complete sucker
Bruce did a video on a Breitling Superocean Heritage. After watching that video, I became a Breitling fan. The premier, Navitimer and SOH2 became my favourites of the brand.

Good comment!
Far too many people are not actively open minded. Congrats for being one of the few.

Most people hate Hublot because humans by their nature follow the crowd.

You going to the meet this month? We need to catch up
Hey Bruce, I plan on being there. I missed you the last couple times. You are a popular guy and I don't like to interrupt.
Proud Hublot fanatic because I can actually walk in and buy one haha no wait list unlike some other brands that will go unnamed 😂😂😂
Most of the Hublot haters can’t afford one anyway.
Just because I can't afford something doesn't mean I can't say its ugly. I do like the examples shown in this video though.

The blur of shame was EPIC!!!

We would get along!

Also, before someone talks about the “screws that aren’t aligned”, the Cartier Santos does the same exact thing and nobody bats an eye.

Much better than RM in terms of styling

Didnt know they have snow there.
Greetings from Switzerland
Skiing in Swaziland? Where?
😂
I'm considering this vs the 42m black magic unico
@@rajmehta6210
I have the Aerofusion Gold Chronograph. It is amazing.
Great review/video. Looking forward to getting one of these. I just need to decide between this Black and the crazy Camo 😮
I love Hublot
Nice watch looks bettter in person, but 24k is way to much for me.If im spending that much ill rather have el premiero Daytona instead.
You do a nice job Bruce listing even the negatives! But it is out of my price range by far!
Love hublot watches. So much variety and innovation. Makes them even better for me as they're hated be the general watch guy. Im not afraid to stand out and certainly don't want to be the same as everyone else.
Nice RM homage
It can be argued RM is a Frank Mueller homage.
Nice review. I feel the same regarding this piece.
Hublot are nice watches, there a few small quality things they could clean up but I love their watches, some people only hate because that one watch RUclipsr Nico hates on them so much
I own the same watch in titanium. 👍🏻 it is Zenith El Primero based movement
Just purchased from Switzerland trip, was bit cheaper there and loving wearing it a lot, more than my rolex sub.
I love this watch and I will definitely buy them soon
Is a cool watch!
The Hublot looks like an Invicta/RM colab..... 😮
Is a very cool watch. Do I like their whole catalogue? No, but this one is a beauty
Bruce, for some reason, you very rarely show up in my feed anymore. Not sure why. Other watch RUclipsrs do... I'm a big fan of yours and I am subscribed...
I'm not sure what it is. I think I'm falling out of favor with the Algorithm. I need to make better content!
@@BruceWilliams I think your content is great.
Invicta also has some swiss movement watches...some are even swiss made with Sapphire crystals and no, I'm not talking about that one pro diver.
Lol, i love Invicta. I dont like the crazy ones too much but I like some of their other models.
It's not my cup of tea, but it's a great review, Bruce.

Very fair review
I think Hublot are sleeper watches that will be liked in about 15 to 25 years from now.
Laser cut parts. Ever seen zero tolerance machining?? Check it out.
I think some Hublots would be fine if they were like 1/3 of the price. I'd take a 45mm Classic Fusion Black Magic, but an ETA 2824 shouldn't be $10k.
True, but a watch is more than its movement.
They do some incredible in-house movements. In addition to modified El Premero and Selitta
I wouldn't wear that if it was free. Looks like someone ripped off a design from Invicta.
Which Invicta is it? I'd buy one.
If Hublot was priced more like TAG and Bretling most of the hate would go away. They are way over priced for what they are. That’s most of the hate
Greatness 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
if i like it, i like it
The round movement inside the tonneau body does not look very premium.
I have Nico Leonard on the line and he has a few things to say about Hublot.
Serieus.
Omg. Hublot.
Not original. No self made watch brand. .
Love your hair. Can't get on board with Hublot or RM. Like Rolex for many, these brands have a conotation I do not dig. Not classy. New money Celebs and show offs. Omg. ... I'm sorry.. i cant stand em!😂
All luxury watches from Hublot to Patek are meant for people with more money than sense. If you happen to be one of those people, more power to you.
Casual ramble 😅
Hublot do make okay watches but they are insanely expensive. The only people that buy them have more money than sense and who want to tell the world how rich you are. Like Rolex owners but with less taste. If you spend nearly $25k on that Hublot watch you are a complete sucker
It's still a hideous watch, like the rest of their line up
5 figure price and the least they could do is align the screws on the bezel
The are like Breitling.
A waste of of Time . And your money
Bruce did a video on a Breitling Superocean Heritage. After watching that video, I became a Breitling fan. The premier, Navitimer and SOH2 became my favourites of the brand.
Breitling is awesome!
Dude breitling is badass
Both you and Random Rob need to get off this tangent of showing these ridiculous looking watches that not one in 1,000 people would ever buy.
