  • On our 3rd day of camps, in addition to polishing our performance songs and learning more game songs and hilarious campfire songs, we learned about the difference between singing in head voice vs. our chest voice. We talked about stage presence, projecting our voices and how to take a bow in a professional manner. We assigned our solos and small groups for each of our performance pieces. The children incorporated them beautifully. They are a brave and talented group of singers, and we're quite impressed! 🤩
The highlight of our day was a visit from guest artist Ms. Madelyn Knight, one of Charleston’s most gifted and celebrated musical theatre artists! Madelyn inspired us and, quite frankly, blew us away with her renditions of the songs Girl in 14G and Journey to the Past. She then shared some of her favorite warmups and gave us some great tips for being more expressive in our singing. What a treat! We were so grateful to her for sharing her inspiring talent and energy with us. And a big shoutout to our amazing Bill Gesin, who accompanied Madelyn on piano with zero rehearsals and not much prep time! 🤗 (Find the full video here on your RUclips Channel!)
